Good 61º smokey morning. We topped at 86º yesterday. The smoke
keeps the sun from coming through.....
Full moon was at midnight here.... if we didn't have such a
smokey world here, we could see it.
Day time smoke..... and turkeys keeping from it as best they can...
This was on the news... a view of I-5 in Medford...
Yesterday for breakfast I put some of the leftover "one pan meal" of broccoli/carrots/celery/chicken/ricotta/pasta in a porcelain bowl, made a hole in the center, added an egg (pierced the yolk with a sharp knife), put a saucer on top and cooked in the microwave for 2½ minutes. That and some melon... Mmmmmmmm..

Housework
can't kill you, but why take a chance?
I was in the cooking mood so I browned some hamburger with garlic and
pepper.... I decided to make spaghetti...
The dried mushrooms were re-hydrated...
Then I sauteéd them in olive oil with garlic.
Cooked the angel hair pasta...
Added to the pan of mushrooms, the drained olives (after I ate half the
can!!! LOL), the hamburger, and the sauce....
Now that Bertolli Rustic Cut Pasta Sauce is sooo good. A bit spicy.
Ingredients:
diced tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato puree, onions, carrots, EVOO, celery,
garlic, salt, pepper, spices, and red pepper! OMGOOOOD!!!!
OMGOOOOOOD..........................That sauce was so good with crunchy
bites of the vegetables.

I have ordered some of the masks that keep the smoke out of your mouth and
nose. The place in Grants Pass that was giving them out, ran out. I found the
mask (3M 8511PB1-A-PS Particulate N95 Respirator with Valve,
10-Pack) at Amazon. Also I have found that the stuffiness and
coughing can be controlled by taking Zicam. Zicam is great if you are coming
down with a cold and it just gets rid of the symptoms.
