Good 42º foggy foggy morning. UGH.
For those of you who think you may have the "flu" please read this... a
whole truckload of symptoms of the various varieties of the "flu".
We used to call it the "flu" if we got to throwing up and maybe diarrhea.
But in this day and age it can mean 'fever chills body aches headache coughing'.
Some get the intestinal part and do throw up. Here is one paragraph from the
article.."Some differences: the flu virus is more likely to cause
fever -- and a higher fever, at that. Flu sufferers have more severe symptoms
overall and are more likely to face fatigue, body aches and a dry cough. Cold
sufferers, by contrast, more commonly have a stuffed or runny nose and
respiratory congestion. Some flu sufferers also have intestinal symptoms, such
as vomiting or diarrhea."
If you get the fever, call your doctor!
For the football Saturday I made pizza.... I got refrigerated pizza dough.
I had never used it before. This pizza was quite moist and heavy, so I think
next time I will use a Boboli. (like that name anyway!) So, I started with
thawed and drained chopped spinach, mushrooms, Parmesan cheese, Swiss cheese,
pizza dough, and grated yellow/white cheese, fresh tomato, Alfredo sauce, leeks,
and mushrooms...
Next was to sauté the mushrooms and leeks. Mix the spinach with the cheeses
and tomatoes. Lay out the dough, spread on the Alfredo sauce and top with
Provolone cheese, then the spinach mixture, and finally the mushrooms and
leeks.
Bake until crust is browned...
Very very good, but as I said, crust too weak for this so it's Boboli next
time!

Along with watching football, I made chicken soup, washed clothes, and
cleaned out a bunch of stuff and tossed it away! Yeah! Some things made me sad,
but no need to keep things that are of no use. It's just if they belonged to
someone you loved who is not her anymore, it's difficult. Tried to watch the Golden Globes, but sooooo boring I looked for something else. The news was more exciting!
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Monday. Ciao.
