Good 45º pouring rain morning!
The rain started yesterday about 9am. Not much, just a drizzle now and then
and on and off all day. Later in the early evening it started raining harder and
it POURED all night. We got 2" !!!!! And more is coming! I'm getting the Ark
ready!
Happy Throw Back Thursday. Here are some pictures taken of my 1969 912
Porsche we bought in 1985. The license plates said "47teen". These were in the
parking lot of Arroyo High School in El Monte, north of Lower Azusa Rd on Santa
Anita Ave....
That was one fun ride!!! Where I loved driving it the most was on the
Pasadena freeway... because it was such a winding road and that little car
hugged it!
The Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show was on Tuesday. A 2 day event with
over 200 dog entries. The Best In Show was won by Rumor, a German Shepherd.
Apparently this is only the second time for this award for a German Shepherd.

I decided to cook another "Whatever Is In The Cupboard/Fridge" meal. The sauces: Prego Basil Pesto w/ Romano Cheese and Classico Four Cheese Alfredo. Mmmm....
I sauteéd the mushrooms in butter. Then I put in 1 pound of apple sausage I
found in the freezer and sauteéd that.
On top of the sausage went the
broccoli, cauliflower, baby carrots, the rest of the broccoli slaw, diced
tomatoes, mushrooms, diced chilies, mushrooms.... and Garlic Salt and Mis'
Rubins Black Magic (referred to me by pal Gator... it's sold back east but you
can order the Black Magic and White Magic on line like I did http://misrubins.com/ GOOD!!!!) and it simmered
for about 20 minutes, drained off some of the extra liquid.
The pasta was half and half, a vegetable farfalle (made with pureéd carrots
and squash, by Barilla) and a fusilli (made in Italy by Garofalo)... Cooked both
together with lots of garlic salt and drained and added to the pan of veggies.
On top of that went the two sauces. I stirred it all up and put on the
lowest heat for a couple hours.
About 15 minutes before eating I added in a couple handfuls of fresh baby
spinach and let it wilt.
Another SUPER GOOD pasta/veggie mixture...
I got out my tax stuff yesterday and tried some "organizing". UGH. I have
to work on it today so not sure if I will get a blog up tomorrow.
All I know. Nuff said. Happy TBT. Ciao.
