Yesterday it warmed to 55º. The sun was out.
Nice day, but still on the cold side. Windy.

After I took this picture I looked up the hill and my
neighbors Gerard, Maria, and Shiloh were taking
a walk along the fence line. After I snapped the
picture, Shiloh turned and looked, I waved,
and she sat down facing us. I am sure she was
thinking about digging out under the fence
(like that hasn't happened before!!) and coming
down here for a dog cookie! She is the
SWEETEST little dog!

Yesterday afternoon I went to Patty and Cliff's. Their computer is out of whack. She was on the phone with AOL for about 5 or 6 hours the other day while some non-English speaking East Indian chick who remotely screwed with her computer to the tune of $270!!!! Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa............. She didn't fix it, it's worse. Her supervisor came on and Patty gave him an earful and then the dumbo broad went back to doing the same things and then telling Patty to stop pushing buttons, and Patty wasn't! Patty needs to call a supervisor, with English as his/her FIRST language and get her money back. My next suggestion was for her to get a new computer, as this one is too old to sustain any of the new programing. That decided, after tinkering and trying to load newer versions of her programs, we had a toddy.

Patty fixed dinner, twice baked potatoes, green beans with bacon, a yummy salad, and Cliff barbecued beautiful heavenly NY steaks perfectly!

    OMG that was good!

Now tonight I will have to cook for me. I have been spoiled, dinner with P&C on Friday, Republican dinner Saturday at Red Lion, and last night again at P&C's. I could get used to that!

Well, kids, it's Monday again. Can't believe March is tomorrow!
Have a good one! Nuff said. Ciao.

So, remember it was Banana Bread Day on the 23rd? Well when I went to Patty and Cliff's for dinner two nights ago, he had a loaf of banana bread for me that he made. OMG, it is soooooooooooo good. He said he put in extra walnuts and extra banana. That's all I want .. banana bread and butter. Oink oink oink......

Hard to believe it's been 2 years since PJ found Mr. Big Stuff at that Gold Hill off ramp where he'd been for at least two days.... waiting for someone or something...., he stayed here a week, and then Janie and I took him half way to Modesto, meeting up with Tammy and Gary who became his adoptive parents.  Tammy and I met on MySpace and she wrote that her beloved lab had died and she would like to have Big. I checked with the Animal Control, all the local vets, put ads in paper and at the market and on the radio. Nobody claimed this beauty. Imagine! So he became a California dog!

Gary's first meeting with Big. He later renamed
him 'Sideways', because of the way he sits!
This dog is so devoted to Gary and Tammy.

Last night I picked up Ruth (our Jackson County Republican Women's President) and her husband, Shelly.  We went to the Red Lion for the Jackson County Republican Central Committee's Lincoln Day Dinner.  What a nice evening. Our US Congressman Greg Walden was a speaker, also attended by our state Senator Jason Atkinson (he and I belong to an exclusive club... GSW with injury! More on that later...) and Dennis Richardson, my  district's  State Representative. Dinner of a wonderful salad, wine on each table (red and white), chicken breast with a creamy parmesan sauce, vegetables and mashed potatoes. Really good! And a chocolaty raspberry cake thingy. Mmmmm...   I dropped Ruth and Shelly off at home and got back here after 10pm. Maggie and Harley hungry and happy to see me. Although, when I put Maggie's food in her dish, Harley helped himself! Gaaaaaa....  He did leave most of it for Maggie. What a guy!

More on the JCRCC dinner later with pictures.

Good 14º morning. YIKES. All three hummer feeders frozen. Brought them in and thawed them for the little guys. It was 24º last night about 8pm when I was talking to Linda in Woodland. She said it was cold there, but not THAT cold. Burrrrr....

I worked on making birthday/anniversary cards and fought with my printer ALL DAY!! Dang that machine. I guess I'm just going to have to bite the old proverbial bullet and take it to the repair shop and find out what is wrong. It starts printing and half way through, stops. Grrrrr....... So it's the un plug, re plug routine until it finally starts working again. It's not that old, 3 years maybe....

Mr/Mrs (?) Robin was back again...

      HAPPY BIRTHDAY DESIE!

Yesterday, just when I was contemplating what to fix for dinner with some leftover chicken and Quinoa, the phone rang. It was Patty and Cliff inviting Maggie and I up for cocktails and dinner! Whhooooooo hooooooo. I had a dirty martini and we chatted. Dinner was
'Wangs', ranch dressing, and coleslaw from The Colonel! Mmmmmm!

We came home 3 hours later, and by then it was time to bring in the brass monkey! Snuggy fire, down comforter, cat on lap, chatted on the phone, and watched some TV then snoooooozzzz time!

Tonight I will be going to the Jackson County Central Committee's Lincoln Day Dinner. My favorite Congressman Greg Walden will be a speaker. Should be fun. Pictures to follow. Remember, at the Ronald Reagan BBQ last September I got to "arrest" Greg and we put him in the hoosegow and folks had to bid on his bail.
