Another exciting day here at the homestead... watering and then cleaned out
a bunch of stuff from the carport. More to do, but a good start. Mike came over
and moved a bunch of wood and logs from down in front of the barn. Dude was
thrilled and as Mike drove back and forth, Dude ran along with him. Then Mike
trimmed some trees down by my gate....
The burn pile is growing!!

August 10th
National S'mores Day
The Girl Scouts popularized S'mores long ago (the first published recipe is
in the Girl Scouts 1927 handbook), it has been a happy tradition around the
campfire. A stick, a marshmallow, a square of chocolate, and two graham crackers
get you a delicious chocolate marshmallow sandwich. The heat of the toasted
marshmallow melts the chocolate a bit and the melted quality is oh so much
tastier than the ingredients in their natural state.
