Good 43º clear morning. Yesterday by 4pm we hit 84º. Should be warmer
today.
Yesterday morning I had to take a fasting blood test. For those of you who
have done this, you understand, for the rest of you..... So, you can't have
anything to eat or drink except water from midnight on until your test. I am
used to my hot green tea and lemon first thing when I get up, then coffee and
breakfast. Dang! Even fixing Brusier and Dude's food yesterday morning was
making me hungry! Headed to Three Rivers Hosp about 9am
In the waiting area talked to a lady who had originally moved here from
Downey. We had a nice chat!
Then it was my turn. Whew. That over I crossed the lobby to the "coffee
lady" and got a 12oz. Kahlua latte to go...
and headed to my car where I had a couple
bars. Gobble gobble. Then the back road,
Hwy 99, to Rogue River... it's such a lovely drive along the river...
Then across the RR bridge.. and into town...
A stop at the vet's office for special teeth cleaning dog food for Dude and
some special treats for Bruiser.
The the post office to mail cards and then Ray's Market...
Ray's is having an awesome sale, now through Tuesday. I got a big tray of
boneless skinless chicken thighs .. 2 for 1. They run about $12-14 per tray. I
got 4!! May clean out freezer and go back for more!
Then the drive to my house isn't so shabby either....
Saw Dude's Dad Dave in the parking lot of the store.. he was delivering his
UPS. I was telling him what 918 meant and the "insane" people having their birthdays yesterday, then I found out when Dave's birthday is! (Christmas!!!!) .. Talked to a gentleman in front of the PO with his Bulldog Mona. So sweet.
I had my "All I want to do is drink wine and pet my dog" sweatshirt on, so
talked to several folks with their dogs... they all liked my shirt!
Another LASD ret special birthday today, Bill Postmus. HAPPY BIRTHDAY
BILL!!! I hope you have a GREAT day!

International Talk Like A Pirate Day
(Here you go, Deewayne Honneee!)
Ahoy, Matey! Today is a day just for fun, a
day to let out the pirate in each of us. We like "just for fun" days and we know
you do, too.
Practice up your "pirate-speak" in anticipation of this day. The
conversation will be lively, and you don't want to be left behind. Today,
everyone will be talking the talk, if not walking the walk. It is not a
requirement to dress like a pirate today. Just talk like one.
Are you a Pirate at heart, or in your soul? Take the Pirate Personality
