Dinner last night
was something I had not made before.. a pizza with refrigerated pizza dough....
I used 2 cans of sliced mushrooms, 1 can salmon, 3 mini Babybel cheeses, one of
Jeannie's Anaheim chilis, and shredded mixed
cheese...
Spread out the
dough, cook for 5-8 minutes, then I slathered mayonnaise on the crust, added the
mushrooms, salmon, chili, Babybel broken into pieces, and the shredded
cheese...
bake 400º 10-12
minutes.
YUMMMMMMMMM!!!! OMG,
so good when you bite into one of those pockets of Babybel! Salmon was perfect
and made it taste like you were not being bad! Anaheim chili was just enough
bite!
Then I watched a
Hallmark movie and part of Jay Leno.... Simon Cowell was on. CREEP!!! He never
dresses. He wore a t-shirt. Then when he goes to sit down, like a girl, he puts
his foot under him on the chair. WHAT A DORK!
I couldn't stand it
any more, so turned it off! You have to feel sorry for the baby he has fathered!
Gadzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....
All I know. Happy
House Cleaning Saturday. Fund raiser spaghetti feed tonight at the Elks. Nuff
said. Ciao.

Neither Rain
Nor Snow Day
Right now, we bet you're thinking "this special
day is about a tranquil weather day with neither rain nor snow" ....wrong.
Here's the real scoop on this special day:
Neither Rain Nor Snow Day celebrates the
opening of the New York Post Office building on this day in 1914.
This following inscription was inscribed on the
building:
"Neither snow nor rain not heat nor gloom of night ,stays
these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds."
Here is the second misconception: A lot of people assume
the inscription represents the Post Office motto. This assumption is incorrect.
But, this inscription is very close to the old Pony Express rider's motto. Which
leads to a third misconception.. ......The Pony Express was not a government
funded predecessor to today's Post Office. The Pony Express was a courier and
message delivery service. However, it was privately owned and funded.
Now that we have the history and trivia out of the way,
let's go and enjoy the day. We hope you use Neither Rain Nor Snow Day to
show your appreciation to your postal delivery people, especially those who walk
their routes.
