Good 42ยบ foggy, very foggy, morning. We are looking at a 20% chance of rain today.
Yesterday I drove into Grants Pass and you could actually see patches of blue sky....
Then later the skies opened up and it poured!.
We got over 1/4".
Here's a new twist on the year you were born... from Joan.
I left here early yesterday to get some chores done. Stopped at Goodwill to drop off stuff, post office to pick up a package, and then to Wally World. I bought a new microwave. My old one still works, but I've had it, I was thinking 20 years, but Kristen said longer. Old micro:
.... and the new one:
Since I was "shopping" I picked up a new wastebasket for my bathroom and a new toothbrush holder and soap dispenser:
Yesterday was the Law Enforcement/Fire lunch at the Elks Club. It was nice and I enjoyed visiting. Being the only 'girl' it's interesting.
These guys are all fun and polite and have great stories. Bob and I discussed our similar back surgeries since he saw my blog about mine being 2 years ago. There is a former LA City Police motor officer that attends, Gary, nice guy and I'm sure he knew a fellow motor officer who lived around the corner from me, if I could only remember his name! GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA............. Frustrating. His son went to my high school, so maybe I'll peruse the old annuals. (Unless any of you old Wilsonites remember...?? )Joining us was Ron Schwartz, former Chief of Police of Grants Pass. Nice guy. He had some good stories too!
Left there and stopped at Brian's office to say hi and Jen was there too! Then to the Grange for Nyjer seed, wildbirdseed, and a new finch feeder. Then to ACE for cracked corn and the vet's for Maggie's meds. Ahhhhh.... home.
Historically this date....

1953 – The coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, who is crowned Queen of the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Her Other Realms and Territories & Head of the Commonwealth, the first major international event to be televised.
.......... I remember watching and to me it was like watching Cinderella.
And births this date include....
Major Margaret "Hot Lips" Houlihan. LOVED 'MASH' !
Ran into him at the Pomona Gun Show one year. What an arrogant little bastard he was! There he is with Tony Dow... that's enough to make you gag! At least the arrogant idiot is ugly now!!! LOL. (I know, I'm so so mean!!!)

Yesterday evening I was out taking pictures....
After a conversation about the day with Jeannie (we hooked up for a glass of wine ... thank you Jeannie!, after the LE/Fire luncheon), I decided on Chicken Pasta Alfredo for dinner. Put it on a bed of greens that was leftover from my lunch....
Very tasty ... then had a snuggy fire and caught up on the Tivo'd shows and then went to bed.
Interesting fact... for you Olga....
National Bubba Day
When : Always June 2nd
National Bubba Day honors anyone named or called Bubba. To qualify to be honored today, your name can be formally, or informally "Bubba". You can even take on the name "Bubba" for just the day. That way everyone can celebrate this day.
There's a lot of ways to celebrate National Bubba Day. Acting like a "Bubba" is your starting point. Cards, parties and other celebrations are definitely in order. Gift giving is optional.
Did you Know? Bubba is the Yiddish word for grandmother (!) Don't tell James!
Famous Bubba: A character in the movie Forrest Gump made the name "Bubba" infamous.
Happy Thursday folks. Nuff said. Ciao.
