Good 51º foggy morning.
I changed the stiffness/softness on my Sleep Number bed and have been
sleeping better than I have in a LONG time! Didn't get up til almost 8am!!!
OMG, (this from Deeewayne Honnee Pberger, LASD ret.) 'True Intelligence'.
DUH, there is a difference between breath and breathe!!! Wonder who these idiots
are?
As he took his last breath he realized the cause was the
meth. He would not be passing the test before he was in for arrest. As he
pulled his knife from the sheathe for the attack, then discovered he
couldn't breathe because of the cop on his back! (ah ha... I'm
a Longfellow!)
Yesterday a quick stop at the post office and then to Bill (LASD ret.) and
Jeannie Patterson's for our "annual" Christmas celebration. They have these
cute little 'elf' Santas on their fence posts...
I wore my Santa hat.... and Santa earrings.... and reindeer
sweater....
We had fun and a good chat. We had wine, and some of Trader Joe's
Caramelized Onion Cheddar cheese and TJ's stuffed mushrooms. OMGOOOOD! (Going
to TJ's soon to get more!)
Jeannie made me a giant plate of her infamous cookies. OH YUMMMM.... Thank
you Jeannie! I gave Jeannie a hat that the actor/Reserve Deputy Paul Harper gave
to Jerry a long time ago. It's a hat worn by Michael Landon in Bonanza. Jeannie
has always been a HUGE fan of Landon, Bonanza and Little House on the Prarie, so
she got the hat ...
She was thrilled. I am too, now that Michael's hat has a good and loving
home!!!
I gave Bill a "Chaka" shirt.
Looks pretty much like her, ya think? Same nose, coloring, and eyes!
They live on top of a hill in Grants Pass... sort of gloomy out there
yesterday..
.... and of course someone had a burn pile going...
A good friend from back in the early Temple City days, Jim
Forbus, is celebrating his birthday today. Jerry nicknamed him "The Busses".
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JIM!! Jim is former LASD, former Washoe Co Lt, and now a Reno
real estate entrepreneur!
