Good 49º sunny morning. I have to say, even the heat is not a
problem since we FINALLY have sunny days! All that gloom in past months was
depressing~!
Yesterday Mike of All Natural Pest Control was here, checking
the bait boxes. Looks like the ground squirrel population is decreasing because
of them. Yes!!!
The clouds came in, it was super nice and cool, 60ºs for
quite awhile... We hit 73º by 11:30. Still heavenly outside! We topped out at
87º. No AC on, doors and windows open. Ahhhh......
Breakfast was a Schwans ham/cheese omelette topped with Parmesan, tomato,
and Greek non-fat yogurt with dried veggies on top.
My friend Lovella, aka Lov, shared her great granddaughter's ice skating
video with me. She is 12. A blue ribbon champ! Go Kylee!!!
Today is my oldest sister's 88th
birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BETTY!

You want some potatoes to go with your barbecued steak? Instead of heating up the kitchen cooking them in the oven, try this easy slow cooker recipe....

2 pounds russet potatoes, thinly sliced (about 8 small potatoes)
1/4 t. garlic powder
1/4 t. pepper
1 pkg Lipton Onion Soup Mix
1/3 cup olive oil
4 qt or larger slow cooker
1. Spray inside of slow cooker with cooking spray
2. Add the potatoes in a spiral design
3. Sprinkle on garlic, pepper, and onion soup mix
4. Drizzle olive oil evenly over potatoes
5. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours without opening lid during cooking
time.
Here is a chart of what types of clouds there are...
Later Dude was limping REALLY BAD on his left rear foot. He
had gone out when Mike was here and ran to the barn and back. Even Mike said,
"he sure likes to run". Yes he does! So, first thing today I was going to take
him to the vet's, but the limping has subsided. We'll wait and see.
Last night I watched a new show I had not seen before, Animal Cops Phoenix.
It's on the Animal Planet channel. Great stories and people who abuse animals
get cited!!!! Yes! Animals are taken from abusive situations.
Then I watched some Family Feud and Andrew Zimmerman's Bizarre Foods. Some
super strange foods people prepare and eat!!
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Hump Day. Ciao.

Insurance Awareness Day
My favorite agent:
Check his site... www.brianpendleton.net
Insurance Awareness Day has got
to be one of your top holidays, right!? Now, at this point, one must be
asking... Why Insurance Awareness Day? Good question.
Insurance, be it home, auto or life
insurance, offers you peace of mind that if something happens, you will be
financially protected. Of course when it comes to life insurance, if something
happens, you won't be around to worry about the outcome.
Insurance is a gamble. If you buy it,
you're gambling that something will go wrong. If you don't buy it, you're
gambling that something will not happen.
Were not sure what you should do to
enjoy and appreciate this day. We are certain what the insurance companies would
like you to do today........
As for me, my agent, my son, takes
exceptional good care of me and my
insurance!!
