Good 45ยบ clear and sunny morning.
Yesterday the "project" was a fasting blood test
for my cardiologist. Geeeesh, I was hungry. Even the cat food this morning
looked appetizing! So, off to Medford at 7:45. On the way into RR there were
lights and emergency vehicles...
There was an overturned truck. (Will get the
specifics in the Rogue River Press later this week...looked like a cable
truck..) And standing with the firemen is my friend Officer John
Foster...
A long time ago John and I had the conversation
re my employment in LA and he said he had gone to school with Leroy Baca. After
my comment of "gag" and "ewwwww" he asked why everyone from Ca he tells that to
makes the same comments! LOL. I explained. Ha ha ha.... (Hey John, guess whose
birthday it is today!!!)
Black Oak Medical:
I wore my 'cat shirt' and my lightweight 'cat
jacket'...
90% of the women who saw this outfit wanted to
know where to get them! Amazing how many people love cats! Between these and my
'cat purse'
I got in a bunch of conversations... from
patients, to staff.
Blood test over then a stop at the little indoor
food kiosk run by Lilly. I ordered her BLT Wrap. OMG, the bacon is sooooooooo
crisp! She serves it with Ritz Crackers and a pickle (already ate the
pickle!)....
Next over to the Imaging Center next to Rogue
Regional Medical Center..
In the parking lot was this truck...
When the gentleman in the picture walked into the
waiting room I asked him if he was the State Farm guy. "Yes, I am" I then told
him my son was a State Farm agent in Grants Pass. He said, "Brian?" "Yes." He
came right over and sat next to me and said "I like Brian! Let's send him a
selfie...
Of course he and Brian bantered back and forth
about that! Nice guy, Russell Brown!
Then another mammo (first one this year, two
weeks ago) and an ultrasound. "They" thought there might be something there, but
the ultrasound showed it was not anything. Whew..... YES! So then off to
Costco..
Did some shopping and had more conversations re
my cat shirt, jacket, and purse! Home to put away all my goodies.
Beautiful day for the drive....
Today is a very special friend's birthday...
former Marine with Jerry, husband to my pal Linda ... Andy Nantz.
