Good 40ยบ cloudy morning. Looks like there is a possibility the Easter Bunny
may get rained on...
Yes, finally Woodville called and wanted to pick up my riding lawnmower
yesterday morning. Larry put it on a trailer and will fix the gasoline leak,
sharpen the blades, clean it all up and fix the flat tire.
Yesterday friends Pam and Dave Clark (LASD ret) were on their way from
Washington State to California and stopped in Grants Pass to hook up for a late
lunch. We met at Taprock about 2:30.
We had the best time! We sat and jibber jabbered for 2 hours! Dave worked
just about everywhere in the county... court services, patrol, narco, aero bureau observer........ and
several others. His Pam is the nicest person. She has a 'slight' English accent.
Very cute! (LOL, we were all in the "wear blue day" mode!!)
Panko covered and deep fried oysters, Taprock's homemade chips, slaw. Those
chips are to die for!!!!
This was the sweetest thing, Pam made me this pillow for my chair! It has
Dude and Bruiser on it!!
And they brought me some salmon! Thanks so much guys!!!

National Spinach Day
Not only is spinach crazy good for you, but there are a
multitude of delicious ways to enjoy this leafy green. See how many you can try
today, and you'll be feeling as healthy and buff as the famous
sailorman.
Spinach originated in ancient Persia, eventually making its
way to Italy in 827 and finally gracing European tables in the 1300s. Its
appearance in early spring made this a fast favorite when other vegetables were
scarce during Lenten diets. For this reason, spinach has the great honor of
being mentioned in the first known English cookbook.
When Catherine de'Medici became the queen of France in 1522, she insisted that spinach be served at every meal because she loved it so. Today when you hear of spinach dishes referred to as "Florentine," that is because Catherine was born in Florence
