Rain a comin' ~ Brain fart ~ Elk ~ Auburn/Ducks ~ PatC's party

Good 28ยบ morning.

No fog, just dark high clouds with rain predicted from now through the end of the week.

and the summit is looking cold and lonely...

I'm just going to go out and shoot myself....I forgot the memory card in my camera yesterday. It was stuck in my computer so none of the pictures I took at PatC's birthday party came out! Thankfully, hopefully, Debbie's came out. AAARUGHHHHHH..... I feel soooooooooooooo STUPID!!!

The birthday party was nice. There was a big cake and snacks. The Ducks/Tigers football game came on and the noise level rose a bit!

Auburn won 22-19.  My Oregon friends are sad, but my Southern (Alabama/Georgia) family and friends are happy.

Some neat photos...
A bald eagle released in the stadium during the National Anthem...

 A worried Ducks fan.

And  ......

Auburn footballer Neiko Thorpe, (from Tucker GA) celebrating.

This morning I had some visitors....
They show up so early it's hard to get a good photo in this very low light. Brian suggested a spotlight hooked up to an extension cord so when they show up I can hit them with the light and get a good picture! LOL  Thanks B. xo

1878Milk is first delivered in bottles.
1935Amelia Earhart is the first person to fly solo from Hawaii to California.
1949 – First recorded case of snowfall in Los Angeles, California.
.... And how I remember getting up from my nap (I was 3)  and everything was white. Our Christmas tree had been put outside and it had snow all over it. I thought it so beautiful. Mom put warm clothes on and Daddy and I made some snowballs on the front lawn. Then the neighbor boy came and threw and hit me with a snowball. I cried. He was a brat!  :o(
1964United States Surgeon General Dr. Luther Leonidas Terry, M.D., publishes a landmark report saying that smoking may be hazardous to health, sparking nation- and worldwide anti-smoking efforts.
SOAPBOX ...... Ok, people, for the last 47 years you have known smoking is bad for you and yet you continue to smoke! It's not only bad for you, but bad for anyone around you, it's expen$ive, it causes litter and dirty ashtrays (ugh), and besides you don't smell very good!
Look ..... I feel it's my duty to bug my friends about this. I'm a reformed whore, I used to smoke. So, been there, done that. Quit now! The doc didn't list Jerry's heart as the cause of his death, he listed on the Death Certificate "smoking" as the cause! Wake up ....

Births this date include....
