Good 43º drizzly morning. Another 1/10" of the wet stuff in
the night. Looks like it's raining on my mountain right now. More on the way.

LOL, someone certainly got a great shot, one that makes you

Yesterday was mop the kitchen floor day and take the trash to
the road for today's pickup. Excitement abounds.
This is something. They let this elephant struggle for 11
hours to save it's baby from a well. FINALLY some people stepped up!!!!
The bystanders distracted the mother and saved the baby ...
they were reunited.

Later dinner was leftover breaded veal patty heated with sauteéd mushrooms and some risotto.... of course and some tomato. This risotto I get at Safeway, one of their own products. Made with rice, cream, white wine, Parmesan and Romano cheese. SO good!
Sunday Football scores:
Of course you know who I was rooting for, but sad my Tootie's team lost at
the same time. Also watched the Broncos Chiefs game. OMGOSH! Tied at the end of
the game, over time and tied up again, and the final kick the Chiefs won.
Rooting for Broncos. Ah well..............

National Waffle Day
Have them sweet or savory (with mushrooms) !!!
Try this, Kristen made waffles from the
Grands Cinnamon Rolls..... outstanding Tootie!!!
See, you can cook anything just about
in a waffle iron .... cookie dough, cornbread.... spray or grease the waffle
iron liberally, put a tortilla on there and cook until golden and make
quesadillas .... or butter a piece of bread both sides and waffle it.... shred
potatoes and waffle them and top with an egg...
Chocolate chip cookie dough waffles....
(or oatmeal!)
Chocolate donut waffle..... or
plain....
paninni sandwich... fill with meat and
cheese...or just cheese
slice pre-made polenta and waffle...
serve with black beans
top a waffled tortilla with
salsa...
waffle a double layer of pizza dough...
top with feta cheese and micro greens... set in microwave for a few seconds to
melt cheese...
or....
top with mozzarella and baked or
seared tomatoes, heat in oven, under broiler, or in microwave to melt
cheese.
or....... with a 12" piece of dough,
lay half in the iron, and cook til golden, pile on some leftover mac and cheese,
top with other half and waffle for a few minutes, and before serving cut away
excess dough..
