Good 52º gonna be another scorcher day! Hit 103º yesterday.
Yes did my share of both whining and wine!!
Today is a humbling day. Memory kicks in to that horrible tragic
morning and all the visuals on the TV. Unspeakable. I was wrapped in a blanket
in front of the TV all day. It still makes me so sad to the point of being
teary-eyed.
My friend Marie Vincent (former Temple City neighbor) sent the
following link. With today in mind and what happened on 9-11-2001 watch this and
remember...
.... and so since it was the hatred of Muslims for our country
and all people who aren't of their ilk, my friend Charlean (Gottesman) Allen
(LASD ret) sent me the following:
"Obama says to create harmony by learning Arabic. We might as
well get on the bandwagon. The current administration wants us to learn more
about Muslims and accept them into our culture. So, I'm making a sincere effort
to communicate with our Muslim friends and learn Arabic for the sake of
'cultural diversity'. This is my first attempt....."
Today is the birthday of a couple of special people... my friend (former LASD SR and Choirboy) Jim Hoffman. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JIM!! And my dental hygienist and friend, Liz O'Conner, from Bright Now Dental in Grants Pass. HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIZ!!! See you next Monday!!

And births this date include....
Yesterday I went to Bill and Jeannie's to celebrate her birthday. I
had made her a lemon cake and filled a basket with her favorite things.. .frogs,
Paydays, caramels, Bob's Seasoning Salt, and got her some car mats for her new
ride with frogs on them!
Jeannie made jalapeño poppers with the jalapeños from her garden.
They were SOOOOOOOOOOOOO good!!!! We had wine and chatted. Chaka was a
doll....
And when I was leaving, Jeannie gave me "poppers to go" and a
cantaloupe from their garden. Will cut that today!
In the trunk of my car were some hats, I gave Jeannie one...she
modeled it! Safari.......
Yesterday also, my Keurig showed up in the hands of our UPS Dave,
former Dude owner.... Dave was happy to see Dude as Dude was happy to see Dave
and even ate two dog cookies Dave gave him! Dude NEVER eats dog cookies!
LOL.
Today I will read the directions and make coffee and/or
tea...
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Hump Day. Ciao.

September 11th
Hot Crossed Buns Day
Hot cross buns predate the arrival of Christianity - the cross
originally representing the pagan sun wheel. Queen Elizabeth I converted the
buns to Christianity and declared that the buns may only be eaten at funerals,
Easter and Christmas.
