but it sure makes you frightened! We ALL need to be carrying!!!
Take cover and take aim!
Since yesterday was Rice Pudding Day I decided to make some. Jeannie gave
me her mom's recipe, but it cooks in the oven and it's too hot (especially
without AC) to start up the oven. So......I found a recipe that cooks in the
crockpot, and slightly modified it.
1 cup long or medium grain white rice
3/4 cup sugar
3 ½ cups milk
1 t. ground cinnamon
1 t. vanilla
1/3 c melted butter
pitted dates or raisins
Mix all the ingredients, except the butter, in a cooking sprayed or
buttered crockpot. Pour the butter over the top. Cook on high for 2½ - 3 hours.
I know rice pudding sometimes has raisins, but didn't have any so added
some chopped pitted dates. At the end of 2½ hours I stirred all the ingredients.
At 3 hours I turned off the crockpot and took off the lid to let it cool. OMG
it's soooooooooooo good~!!!!!!! I could have eaten it all in one sitting!
Ahhhh haaa .... the DirecTV guy, Seth, was here yesterday and installed a
new DVR box. YEAH! TV again in the living room!!!!
