Now if you have any law enforcement background, you will get a kick out of
this... it was posted on Phil Santisteven's (LASD ret) FB page:
The wife and I (both retired now) were discussing the
recent
talk about uniform changes to brass buttons. She asked
if
this was for both the Sam and Sally Browns. I advised
her
do to recent political correctness they are no longer
called
Sam and Sally and are currently referred to as
Caitlyn
Browns. It took a few moments for it to sink in, which
was
just long enough for me to duck.
(If you have no law enforcement connection, a Sam Brown,
for men, or a Sally Brown ,for women, is what we
call
the duty belt that holds the holster.)

Yesterday Nancy and I went to Jennifer's. I took her some easy
dinner fixin's (crab cakes, lobster cakes, stir fry veggies, and corn muffins.)
She called me later and she and Mike did eat them and were "stuffed" !!! LOL.
Mission accomplished! Nancy gave us both a box of cookies she had made. OH
NANCY, they are soooooooooooooooo good!!!!
I got these pictures when we were there...
Heaven:
Keeper:
Bridey:
Bridey came up on the couch where I was sitting and loved and loved on me!
Purr purrr purrrrrrr...... So sweet.
Didn't get one of Sugar Fox. Next time! And I need a picture
of Jennifer's "Charlie Brown" Christmas tree!
Dinner was crab cakes this time... with stir fried veggies
(olive oil, garlic sea salt, and pepper) on a bed of baby
spinach...
I put lemon infused olive oil (my concoction) over the
spinach, tartar sauce on the crab cakes, and creamy garlic sauce on the
tomatoes:
AWESOMELY GOOD!!! (and fyi, I didn't eat it all, only half!
the other half breakfast today!)
All I know. Stayin' in with all this rain coming down. Will do "stuff"

All I know. Nuff said. Happy TGIF. Ciao.

Bake Cookies Day
(I made these last year for my grandchildren and my neighbor's Frank &
Cindy's grandchildren. They loved them!)
'Ya
gotta just love Bake Cookies Day.........
.....
Christmas is for Christians
.....
Hanukkah is just for Jews
.....
Kwanzaa is for those of African origin
.....
Native American Day is for American Indians
But,
Bake Cookies Day is for EVERYONE!
Bake
Cookies Day comes at an opportune time. It arrives amidst the major December
holidays. It serves as a reminder to bake holiday cookies, if you haven't done
so already.
People,
young and old, celebrate this day by baking their favorite cookies. Make a party
of it, and bake cookies in groups with family, friends, kids and grandkids.
Don't stop at baking just one kind of cookies. Plan to bake a number of cookies.
Try a new recipe, or two, or three, or...
.
If
you bake more than you can eat, good for you! Wrap up gift trays filled with
cookies for friends and neighbors. Most cookies freeze well, too.
Important
Note: we are very surprised that Bake Cookies Day is not immediately followed by
"Eat Cookies Day". We did not even find an Eat Cookies Day. So you can, and
should, eat them
everyday!.
