Good 47ยบ sparsely cloudy morning.
Yesterday's sunset was pretty.....
Yesterday was errand day... Went into Grants Pass to Brian's office. He
just bought a 1962 Chevy Step-van. It was delivered from Arizona Thursday night
about 11pm... it is soooooo COOL!!!
He will use it, once fixed up, painted with State Farm logos, as
advertisement for his office. This will be a father and son project... with, I'm
sure, Sami helping too!
Next a stop at the new Haggen Market, formerly Albertson's.
I was amazed at all the fun and good looking food there. Their deli with
all the different salads made me drool.......
And OMG the cheeses they had....and the pre-made hors de oeuvres! WOW. One
refrigerated case, huge, had "breakfast" items, "lunch" items, and "dinner"
items, all ready to re-heat and eat. They are making it too easy!
But, prices are high. Even my wine I normally buy at Safeway was $3 more.
Had to get out of there before I bought goodies. They did have mandarin oranges
that were all wrinkly. Never saw those before.
Produce gal said they were really good.
In the middle of the store there was this John Deere... awwww... just like
my Darling's!!! (that Jon Harding, Wilsonite, bought from me)
Then to Safeway and to get my wine cheaper and some fresh veggies for
dinner. Ace for cracked corn for the critters and
birds, vet's office for dog and cat meds, Woodville Rentals for uHaul boxes
to ship the gun forms in, and home.
A good day when Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was condemned to death for the Boston
bombing!!!
condemned the guilty verdict
delivered by the jury
in his federal death penalty trial on Wednesday, calling Americans “terrorists” and proclaiming her son's
innocence.
(what a dumb shit!)
Tsarnaeva, who is of Avar origin and lives in
Dagestan, wrote the text
messages in both Russian and English, according to Vocativ, which obtained her phone number and verified her identity
through dated selfies she provided.
“HOW CAN A MOTHER FEEL WHOSE SON IS IN THE CLAWS OF A
PREDATOR PREPARING TO TEAR HIM TO PIECES LIKE MEAT???” she wrote. “THEY WILL PAY
FOR MY SONS AND THE SONS OF ISLAM, PERMANENTLY!!! THE TEARS OF THEIR MOTHERS
WILL BE FUEL FOR THEM IN HELL, AND ALSO THEIR BLOOD, I AM DOUBTLESS AND
ETERNALLY GLAD THAT I KNOW THIS FROM THE WORDS OF THE CREATOR, NOT JUST ANYONE’S
WORDS!!!!!!”
That beeeeeoootch better not try and come to this
country!!!

squash, baby spinach, butter, and Swiss cheese...
Sauteรฉd squash and mushrooms in butter and a little olive oil.... then
added in spinach and let it wilt...
Next was the carton of eggs....
When eggs were done I removed from heat and added in the Swiss cheese to
melt...
Dished it up and served with Safeway's cheese jalapeรฑo bread.
OMGOOOOOOOD!!!
About 5:45 Dave, the brush-hogger, was back to mow down more
pasture grass....He was here til 9pm. He will be back today for the upper

May 16th
Armed Forces Day
THANK YOU to all of our military and those who previously served!!!!
When
: Third Saturday in May
This
is simply a day to salute sharply to all of the men and women in all branches of
the service who protect our country and you. They can be called upon at a
moment's notice to perform a risky and perilous mission for freedom and country.
They train diligently both physically and mentally so they will be prepared to
prevail in any mission they face.
Just
how did it all begin? Well, each
branch of the military had their own day of celebration. But, on August 31, 1949
then Secretary of Defense Louis Johnson announced the creation of Armed Forces
Day. President Harry Truman also announced the holiday in a presidential
proclamation on February 20, 1950. All branches of the military were asked to
celebrate on this day and they complied on the first Armed Forces Day which was
held the following year on May 20,
1950.
