Good 54º heat wave morning. UGH. Was in the 90º yesterday.
Will be today too. Tired of the heat already.

Basically took the day off yesterday. Had Maggie at the vets
for her mani/pedi at 8:45. Outta there by 9:30. Back home. Dude went with us. He
was in the back of my suv until Maggie and I went inside ... then he took over
the front passenger seat! Drool on my windows! Drool on my seat! Whatta guy!
I wanted to cook so decided on egg rolls...
First I mixed some baby spinach,
some of roasted chicken, cucumber, a little lettuce,
and grated cheese.
Added in some sesame dressing... wrapped the mixture in the
egg roll wrapper...
These were fried in garlic infused olive oil.... Mixed the
sesame dressing with some mayonnaise for a dipping sauce.
OMGOOD~!!!
I thought I had put this on my blog.... but I can't find where
I did... so here it is...This former President of ours is a funny guy! This came
from my Greece travelin' pal, Pat Kelly. Thanks Pat for the smiles!
If you haven't seen this, you will enjoy...
On Wednesday afternoon PJ went to Patty and Cliff's house to do a routine
check and take in their mail. There was a truck in the driveway and a man came
out of the back door. Mind you, they live way up on top of a hill with just a
narrow driveway to the top. She dialed 9-1-1. The guy said he was related to
Patty and Cliff and took off in the truck. She got the license. Inside he and a
female (seen leaving with the man) had pried open the back door, taken Patty's TV from the kitchen, a
hanging spoon rack with old spoons... and who knows what else! Everything was
tossed from drawers and closets. 3 radio cars and a slick car showed up.
Fingerprints were taken. Crowbar taken for prints. PJ was lucky she didn't get
hit over the head or worse! The culprit has been identified, sadly, it was an
in-law relative who knew Patty and Cliff were at the coast. Time to install an
alarm! I haven't talked to Patty today so don't know if more missing items had
been discovered. BTW, 459 is a burglary. Lots of people say their house was
"robbed" but robbery consists of something being taken from a person by force or
fear (gun knife...) and burglary is entering a building illegally to commit a
crime. Just FYI....
Several asked why I didn't take pictures of Ron and Sue's house... Ok, here
are some that were on line when it went up for sale before they bought
it...
It has a circular driveway that goes around a pond.... a carriage house is
to the left of the main house where his friend and 'overseer' lives....
The dinning room looks the same .. the bamboo style furniture and Asian and American Indian art...
This is a tree house, two story, in the back built for the original owner's
grandchildren. Ron says it's now a brandy/cigar room for the guys! Go Ron!
Sue's kitchen with a view of the Rogue River!
This is not their furniture, but you get the idea.
And an upstairs gaming table with the original owners giant stuffed bears!
Pretty neat home!
Got the following hand written note from our Congressman Greg Walden. I had
posted his picture from the Boatnik parade and sent him a message where to find
it.... Nice of him!!!
