Good 51º foggy morning.
Stand by, time change is coming soon!! Like Sunday!!
Throw Back Thursday.........
11-2-2009 Greece.... me and a street dog....
Yesterday it started raining on my mountain about 10:30am.....
and then drizzled on and off light the rest of the day.
Mike came over. We took several boxes of donation stuff to the local thrift shop.
Then went to the post office to pick up my new microwave oven I got from Amazon.
Mike was the big help carrying everything for me and my bad back and setting up the new oven!!
Then he took a look at why my washing machine was leaking water. Well, it was something in the drain pipe he couldn't snake out. So, I called Mike Artoff (yes, another Mike!) and he and Henry came out. They got the drain snaked, but there was a leak they could hear under the house. Swell. So, since this old 1935 house's foundation is rocks with logs on them and they couldn't get under the house way at the back, Mike cut a hole in the floor on the back porch between the washer and dryer!!
The pipe, plastic, looked like it had been chewed on by a critter (rat/mouse something!) So, that was replaced.
Ahhhhhh.... thank you Mike and Henry!!!!
If you live in this So Oregon area, Artoff plumbing is HIGHLY recommended. Mike can fix anything! Again, thanks Mike for coming out so quickly and taking care of that leak I had no idea about!
Picture of the Day......
My shirt I wear for Halloween. It gets lots of laughs!!!
I don't have a recipe today, but wanted to show you what I ran across at Harry & David. They have a 'Lobster Pot Pie'.... OMGOSH does this look good!!!!
I am going to Harry & David (they are in Medford) when I go see my doctor in a week or so. Going to get one!!!
You can order them and they do 2 day shipping....
"Thrill the most discerning diner with Lobster Pot Pie. We began with our classic home-style pot pie recipe and added succulent chunks of cold water lobster, sweet corn, and potato. It's finished with a sherry cream sauce touched with a hint of cayenne. The delectable filling bakes in a buttery, hand-crimped crust for a beautiful gourmet entrée."
Special Anniversary today........ Rick and Lynda Castro (both LASD ret.) are celebrating. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY KIDS~!!! xo

National Men Make Dinner Day is observed annually on first Thursday in November. This is the day for men to take charge in the kitchen and cook for their loved ones.
Some men like to cook and do so on a regular basis. To those men, kudos to you! You can submit your favorite recipe on the National Men Make Dinner website.
This day was created for the men who do not know their way around the kitchen and are not familiar with cooking appliances, as well as for the women in their lives who need a break.
Men need to be aware that there is a list of rules that must be followed, some of which include:
- The main meal must include a minimum of 4 ingredients and require at least one cooking utensil other than a fork.
- The man goes shopping for all necessary ingredients.
- Clean up as you go.
- Aprons are optional.
For a list of complete rules, see the above-mentioned website.
HOW TO OBSERVE
Have the men in the house prepare a meal and use #MenMakeDinnerDay to post on social media.
HISTORY
National Men Make Dinner Day was created by Sandy Sharkey in 2001.
