Air ~ Mike ~ Taylor Creek/Klondike Fire ~ Deck of Playing Cards ~ Picture of the Day- Grackles ~ Hash Brown Breakfast Pie ~ Ruth Broadman  ~ Sunset ~ National Creamsicle Day

Good 55º smokey morning.

We did have some haze and clouds but the smoke came in more in the afternoon yesterday. We warmed to 95º.
 This was about 10am....

Yesterday Mike came over. Dude was soooooo happy to see him!

Been 3 weeks since he's been here to do the yard work, because he was protecting Jennifer and his house in the evacuated area in Grants Pass where the Taylor Creek Fire is. Here is a picture he took of Jennifer's house with the fire on the mountain behind a couple weeks ago .... also, there is Heaven who just passed away a few days ago...
Here is the latest information on the two fires that have merged... the Taylor Creek Fire and the Klondike Fire both just outside of Grants Pass....

So, Mike got the bushes and grapevines and trees trimmed and the lawnmower flat tire fixed and the grass mowed. YEAH!

Interesting ....

A deck of playing cards is filled with enigmas and mysteries. Many believe the four kings in a deck of cards represent great rulers of the past. The King of Hearts is one of the most iconic cards in the deck, mainly because of his awkwardly placed sword. Because of that, he’s earned the nickname of “suicide king.” The King of Hearts was dubbed Charles, presumably after Charlemagne, King of France and the first Holy Roman Emperor, who lived from 747 to 814 AD. He’s the only king without a mustache, the only king doing something active with his weapon.

Picture of the Day
Grackles............

Grackles are interesting. I saw a lot of them in rest areas in California. Then then started migrating here. Now there are quiet a few of them locally.

This is a regular Grackle and a Great-tailed Grackle....

Yesterday it was a Mac & Cheese Pie..... today it's a Hash Brown Breakfast Pie
