Daddy ~ Nancy ~ Masculine Moments ~ Elk's Dinner

Good 35ยบ yawning morning. Yesterday was gorgeous and warm and sunny.

Pictures: 1946 and 1976 ... with me ... and on their 50th anniversary..... He passed away in 1991. His family came from Ireland, back then their name was O'Laney. The "O" was dropped when they immigrated to the US as Irish weren't in good favor back then. The family fought in the Revolutionary War...

Last night was the Elk's Corned Beef Dinner. The company was fun... Dee and Dale Yellin, Paul and Tammy Allgood, Bill Jackson and his gal Pat, Jennifer Murphy, and me. The food was EXCELLENT! Eric always does a fantastic job. He even showed me in the meat locker the way his corned beef (from Colorado) order comes in. Here is my plate... I was good... no potatoes just meat and veggies...

I ordered a carafe of chardonnay and added green food coloring to it. Jennifer wouldn't drink it... said it looked "yucky" ! LOL.

Last night they gave out awards for the "Elk of the Month" for last and this year and special awards for special Elks. I was made 'official photog' for this, so will have to sort through the photos and send them to the new Exalted Ruler, Tom, who asked me to do this. Will make a Smilebox and post tomorrow.

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Sunday. Ciao.
