Good 53º clear morning. Predictions for temps:
Yesterday 100º at 3pm, 101º at 3:15pm, 103º at 3:45pm (the weather guy
LIED!) So, it will probably be that high again today. Joy.
9-11-01 was a HORRIBLE Day. So sad so many lost their lives. This is a day of remembrance. We all know what we were doing
and where we were when this tragedy struck. I for one, cannot relive it. I am
not turning on the TV. I refuse to watch that idiot in the White House talk
about it. I don't want to see the pictures again and again. It was heartbreaking
and still is to this day. God Bless all those who died and all those who worked
tirelessly to save lives.
Last nights Patriots/Steelers Game...OMG!!! GREAT GAME!! Of course my
Patriots beat the Steelers 28-21! I was so pea green watching the rain coming down at Gillette Stadium.
My dental hygienist and friend, Liz O'Connor is celebrating her birthday
today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIZ!!!

Yesterday was the Jackson County Republican Women's luncheon at Twin Creeks
in Central Point.
Our special speaker was Oregon Senator Herman Baertschiger.... Thanks
Herman for saying what we all agree with! Thanks for your dedication.
His mom Karen, a friend of mine, joined us.
We had a really nice time. Lunch was good... salad, lemonade, Brussels
sprouts, some kind of cheese filled tortilla with a gravy (GOOD!) and a "might
be a scone" that was really GOOD!
Our "stand in President", Phyllis Fletcher, presented Karen with a rose.
She said "We've never had a speaker's mom attend!"
I left there and stopped at Rogue Creamery
to see if they had the variegated bow tie pasta, but no, not where I got
it. Will keep looking.... Probably Trader Joe's!
Then because it was on the way, I stopped at Seven Oaks farm
to get some corn. Well, dang, because "of the smoke and heat" they didn't pick
any yesterday! Fuey. Here is their sunflower field.... you can barely see the
mountains...
... a metallic horse decoration in the parking lot...
Back on the freeway heading to Rogue River...
Then to RR where I got gas. This is the wall art on
the building next to the 76 Station...
Then to the firehouse to drop off my Mercy Flights membership, Rays for
some chicken thighs, Ace for trash compactor bags and to discuss some
post-football with the guys. Then it was to Rogue River High School where I
delivered copies of the US Constitution in booklet form for the 9th graders ..
Provided through our education fund with the Jackson County Republican Women.
Then HOME! Yeah. Cool house. Nice!
Chuck (Patty & Cliff's son) & Linda's car broke down
last month, after meeting Linda's daughter & her husband, to pick up their 3
kids & 3 dogs, while Nicole & Jeremy went on to California. The had
just picked up the kids & dogs when the car quit. They had called a tow
truck The tow was on the way when a policeman pulled up and then another police
car pulled up and then the tow truck arrived. One officer took Linda & the
three boys in his car and the other officer took Chuck & the 3 dogs in his
car and took all of them home, with the tow truck behind them with the car. The
tow truck even pushed the car into the garage so Chuck could work on it the next
day.
See, there ARE good cops out there, irregardless of what OVamit and his
racially aggravating cronies and the BLM (no, not the Bureau of Land
Management!) say.
The sunset last night was pretty, but that colorfulness is caused by the
smoke coming up from the California fires...
Dinner, since feeling 100% better today, was bow tie pasta and veggies
while watching football.
All I know. Nuff said. Happy TGIF. Ciao.
