Tuesday I was pulling stuff out of the freezer and found a bag of turkey
bones. Put them in the large Crock*Pot filled with water, some garlic salt,
pepper, a head of garlic cloves, a little olive oil and turned on low for 10
hours. Let it cool and strained out the bones. Then the stock went back into the
pot along with a quarter cup of each:
... and some of each of these..... and on low for a few hours to hydrate
all the veggies...
I think today I will add in a can of cream of chicken soup to 'cream' it
up.
At noon yesterday I met up with Jeannie, Dee, Kathy, and Jen at the Elks
for a chat and a glass of wine.
Eric, the cook, makes the BEST BLTs in the world! I had a salad with
mine....
We had a GREAT time gabbing and wine-ing!
Speaking of wine, Dee sent me this:
The Law Enforcement/Fire luncheon was yesterday also, at the Golf Club. Was
not in the mood to go. Probably a good thing, as I got an email from Jim saying
when he got there not one parking place was available. He left. Bill didn't go,
he had a doc appointment. Dale is being escort for the special Olympics torch
carry from the east coast to the west coast. Don't know about anyone else.
Something funny about my cat.. Bruiser was being very nosey when I was
making some iced coffee yesterday. After I got all the ingredients in the glass
he wanted to see/sniff it. I set the glass on the floor and he DRANK some! Nut.
My cat likes iced coffee!!!
