Good 32º frosty full moon morning. Yesterday it was 32º also
and the barn roof as well as the pastures were all white...
....and boy that moon lit up the place last
night!
"10-16" .. 'pick up prisoner.
Look at this.... a dead Oar Fish was found off Catalina by some
snorkelers....
What gets me is all the comments made by stupid dummies about "why did they
kill it?" and "it's so wrong to kill" blah blah blah... the fish was DEAD when
it was found!!!! Sheesh!
Yesterday was errand day... first off to the dentist (again)
to have my pearly whites polished and to chat with Liz my hygienist. We always
have a gab fest! Liz reads my blog and Jen had brought Sami in and Liz told her
she had seen her picture playing with the race track I gave Tucker for his
birthday. Sami's mouth dropped open and the look was "How in the world did you
see my picture?" Jen laughed and said, "Liz knows Bobo." (Small town, baby
girl!)
I stopped in at the Kitchen Company to drop off Jennifer's dish she had
given me soup in to bring home on Sunday. I bought a couple of chocolate
bars...
this chocolate bar with Rogue Creamery Blue Cheese made by www.lillibellfarms.com in Central
Point...
and I bought a "garlic twist" I will show you tomorrow.(Thank you
Jeannie... birthday money she gave me!!! ♥)
Then to take one of my down comforters to the cleaners, Vogue Cleaners....
and had a football discussion with Kelli. She's a 9er fan. Then I had a
short chat with Brian (his office next door to Vogue Cleaners) and Emily......
,
Then to post office to mail sunglasses to Jack that Brian donated to Jack's band and pick up a
package. Had some egg cartons for Leah but she wasn't working yesterday. Back
home to a happy kitty and pooch! Bruiser had caught a bird and there were
feathers from one end of the porch to the other! Sigh..........
I had some thawed chicken breasts so put them in the crockpot along with a
can of enchilada sauce... low for 8 hours... This was one of my friend Edda's
ideas and it makes GREAT chicken.... shred it up when done into tortillas, soup,
and/or casserole dishes.
Still in the cooking mode I put some "Southern Style" Quinoa that Linda had
given me when she visited into the rice cooker...
This quinoa, by Pereg, is "a delicious blend of pre-washed quinoa with
smoked paprika, tomato, red bell peppers, and spices." Gluten free and Kosher.
Then I cut up some baby squash and mushrooms and sauteéd them in infused
olive oil. Then added in some mozzarella/artichoke/garlic sausage (Costco) and
let that all get happy....
I added in the cooked quinoa and some cut up tomatoes.
OMGOOD!!!!
