Good 36ยบ foggy drizzly morning after Christmas! With this cloud cover we
won't be seeing the moon!
Yesterday was a FUN day! I was at Brian and Jen's by 8:30.
Left here while it was snowing...
The freeway was empty... and lonely. Reminded me of coming home from my
overnight slot at Lakewood Station on Christmas morning... only me on the road
....
it pretty much rained all the rest of the day. This Heron is a pain in
Brian's side. He has discovered Brian's covered pond with gold fish in it and
hangs around.... with his sharp beak he has poked holes in the plastic pond
liner... he needs to find another home! He showed up long enough for me to
capture his picture!
Tucker and Sami opened their Christmas stockings. Never saw such HUGE
stockings!!!! Wow.
Jen's mom Jean and her brother Jimmy (from Alhambra in So Cal) joined us
for a fun Christmas morning. We had one of Jen's mouthwatering breakfasts.... an
egg/cheese casserole, bacon, sausage, cinnamon buns, tater tots, juice and
coffee. PERFECT! I hope Jen shares the recipe for the casserole with me!
After breakfast we opened packages. Lots of fun stuff! Then Kristen Alex
and Jack on her iPad called Brian's iPad. OMG, that was a BLAST!!!! Talking to
Kris and the kids and having all my "babies" in the same room was such fun!
Guess I'll have to get an iPad now!! The 'new age' family photo with some members arriving electronically!
Some of the gifts from Bobo.... Tucker got cookbooks... Betty Crocker,
Better Homes, and Williams Sonoma for kids....
Sami got a Madam Alexander (her twin) doll and matching outfits.....

Jen got a new blender...
... and Brian got USMC stuff!
Alex and Jack, way down in So. Cal had a good Christmas too.... but they
and their mom Kristen were missed!!!

I came home and let my critters in... Bruiser and Maggie, Harley was
already in. I got snuggy with a fire, drank some great wine Jimmy (Jen's
brother) gave me (Bridgeview Chardonnay) and had popcorn. Watched some Hallmark
movies and enjoyed the evening.
My heart goes out to all of those caught up in those horrible storms and
tornados across the country.
Today is a special birthday..... Marie Maxwell, bride of Aaron. HAPPY
BIRTHDAY MARIE!!!
