Good afternoon. When I got up it was 26º and
pretty clear and now after 1pm it's 60º and sunny and warm. I was working on the
'renewed' Hal yesterday when my modem died. Actually something was wrong with
the phone line connection and I, being a girl, didn't know how to fix it.
I spent most of the morning installing files to my computer... programs I use like Hallmark Card, and American Greetings Card, Morpheus, Auto Painter, Business Card Factory, Word Perfect, etc. I also transferred photos and files to my external hard drives.
Brian came by and picked up some stuff and then fixed my modem! YEAH!!!!!
Back up and running. THANK YOU B!!! xo
Yesterday the geese who come back every year
showed up.... I heard them honking and they landed right by the fence. Looking
for their friend who gives them cracked corn....
They are pretty friendly with me. Even Bruiser
went out in the pasture and said hello. Didn't bother them in the least. They
were back again this morning. They will hang around until they lay and hatch
their eggs...
Dinner last night was the 'all you can eat crab
feed' at the Elks. Friends at our table were Jennifer, the infamous Kitchen
Company employee, Jeannie and Bill, Dee and Dale, Cathy and Tom, and late
arrivals were Rufus and Maxi. Bill Jackson the lodge and White City VA liaison
joined us too. Dinner was good with salad and beans, butter, and crab. Stuffed
ourselves. Had wine and a good time!
Bill Jackson, Tom Corso, Dale Yellin, and chowing
down is Bill Patterson:
Jennifer....
Salad, cheese bread, crab. YUMMMMM!
I forgot to put on my blog yesterday, the 25th, that it was
the 40th anniversary of my first date with Jerry. He took me to a seafood
restaurant in East Pasadena on Foothill in the Hastings Shopping Center. It's
not there anymore, but he wined and dined me.... lobster tail. OMG. I was
smitten. Wish I could think of the name of that place! Brain
fart!!!
