Good 46ยบ raining morning. Rain? What? Really? OMG.
Looks like we got about 1/4" since last night.
Yesterday, just as the rain started, Jason came up to stack wood. I gave him Jerry's old yellow slicker to wear to keep dry. At least the rain was just a tease and he got it all done in record time. Hard working young man!
Now we will have wood to burn for next winter. Jason was coming back today to weed eat grass, but it's pouring! Guess that will have to wait until Monday. Drat.
Day filled with excitement .. .laundry, vacuuming, and cleaning upstairs. UGH. Got a lot done. Even piled a bunch of stuff in my truck to take to Goodwill and tossed some stuff in the trash! Yippeeeee.....
The eaglets are looking like they are just about ready to leave the nest...
Isn't it funny, looks like poop all over them! No doubt it is!
So, what I thought was an Oriole turns out to be a Grosbeak who is frequenting my porch, looking at the birdhouses and taking string that I cut for it's nest. They like seeds so the feeder is close. I don't think I've had any Grosbeaks here before...
They are just beautiful!
Dinner was 'diet dinner' again.... two stuffed shells with spinach on a bed of lettuce with canned fire roasted tomatoes, green beans, and avocado. Day 4 .. down 4 pounds.
And I even had an ice cream sandwich for dessert! Pretty good diet, I'd say. :o)
Some more good news, for me really, I went to the Crockpot® site because the handle on the Crockpot® lid broke off. It said their replacement lids were $10. They asked for the model number and when I entered it there were missing letters .... so I gave all the info I had. Got an email today stating that they had a replacement lid in the mail to me at no charge! Wow! Whodda thought. Nice company.
