Good 34ยบ cloudy morning.
Chance of rain. Most of the radar is down in California so
rain from San Francisco south...maybe to LA!
I received this from pal Par Reardon (LASD ret) ... if you are
a Marine this is something you should watch. If you know Marines, share it.
Gripping. Cleaned out my eyes. Keep the Kleenex close by! Return To Makin Island
in 1999 after 19 Marines were killed in August 1942....
Yesterday's football scores:
Kristen's Jets lost to the 'Butt-ta-lo' Bills, my Pats lost to Alex's
Dolphins (hard to believe).Yeah the Giants lost to the Eagles ! Brian's Colts
beat the Titans. The amazing game was the Chargers and Tucker's Broncos! I was
mesmerized watching that. Peyton made his comeback, first time playing since
November. He rocked!
Here are the playoff standings:
Met up with Brian Jen Tucker and Sami at Tap Rock for breakfast. I was a
little worried about the road conditions, but after leaving my road and getting
on the road into town, the snow was just about gone. Leaving my place:
Into Rogue River:
Caveman Bridge and the Rogue River from Tap Rock:
Tucker Brian & Sami:
My veggie omelet, fruit, and banana bread roll... OMGOOOD! Oh and of course
a mimosa and coffee...
I left Tap Rock and went to the market for some essentials. Very few
shoppers. Nice. The to the liquor store where I got some new items...
Jinro is soju. Very interesting short read about it..
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soju
In 2014 it was the largest selling alcoholic beverage in the world! Imported
from Seoul Korea. I tried some in Jerry's favorite shot glass...
It is very smooth with almost a very light fruity flavor. Good!
After I got home and unloaded the groceries I put the trash bags in the car
and Dude and I took them to the road. On the way back he was happy to
run...
Today is also the birthday of my 'daily drivel pal' Diamond Bar Lydia.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY
LYDIA!!!!!
She has an interesting garden blog:
Another special birthday today is Phil Santisteven (LASD ret ... and
husband of the infamous Suzanne!) HAPPY BIRTHDAY PHIL!!!
We got to visit at the LASD Reunion Roundup in Laughlin last year.
Historically this date...

.... what a disastrous fu**ing mistake that
was!
And births this date include...
1643 – Sir Isaac
Newton, English mathematician and
natural philosopher (d. 1727)
He played such goofy parts that his name just
didn't fit him. Should have been something
like Archie or Barnaby or Izzy!

1937 – Dyan

Dinner was a beef top sirloin steak (cooked two in the oven) and potatoes
au gratin... (these both are Omaha Steak items)
I served the potatoes au gratin with some shredded cheddar cheese and
drizzled with Opa Feta Dill Yogurt dressing.
I buy Omaha Steaks occasionally and keep them on hand in the freezer. Free
shipping on specials. Really good steaks and sides!
Later I was chair-bound, wine, fire in wood stove, and watched the rest of
the Broncos Chargers game. Then for some Blue Bloods and a Hallmark movie.
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Monday. Ciao.
