Gerald Sakamoto ~ Women Equal To Men? ~ Sleeping Clintoons ~ Brusier's Birthday ~ Spencer ~ Marie ~ Meatballs In Pasta Sauce

Good 52º clear sunny morning 91º was our high yesterday.

I heard about a man on the news who went missing from Pasadena found dead in a maintenance yard in Los Angeles. Yesterday I got a phone call from Jim Harper and he asked if I remembered a Gerry Sakamoto from our class. Of course! He was adorable. Well, as it turns out this guy who they found is named Gerald Sakamoto, age 71.
This is funny... from my friend Turk. Thanks for the laugh Turk!

After posting that video and pictures of Bill Clintoon sleeping during Hill-Liar-y's speech I remembered I had seen on of them both sleeping at a function... such respect! HA~

Yesterday I kept putzing with photos I had removed from photo albums, scanned them, and put them on the hard drive.  Made a Smilebox of some photos from my high school's 50th Anniversary in 1987. Took most of the videos off my iPhone and put them on an external hard drive.
I have designated today as Bruiser's birthday. I first saw him hunting in my pasture in March or April 2008 so I figured he probably was born in 2007 after Jerry died. I know Jerry sent him to me! Today we will celebrate Bruiser being 9 years old! He has his own chair....
But, as you know cats... they nap wherever ....

Today is also the birthday of pal Erika's husband Spencer. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SPENCE!

AND............... it's also the birthday of former Temple City neighbor, friend Marie Vincent.

Dinner was some Omaha Steaks meatballs, spinach, corn...

I cooked the meatballs in the air fryer at 400º for 12 minutes. They came out all crispy and yummy.  I had heated some Cucina & Amore Basilico pasta sauce (I get from Amazon.com)
and mixed the meatballs in the sauce. The corn heated in the air fryer for a couple of minutes. Then I dished up the meatballs on the baby spinach, topped them with Parmesan cheese, and slathered pomegranate mayo on the corn.
OMGOOOOOD!!!

I did have a good chat with Jim Harper and then later one with Sandy (Todoran) Beck.
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Tuesday. Ciao.

August 2nd
National Ice Cream Sandwich Day

National Ice Cream Sandwich Day is a time to enjoy a cold sandwich.......an ice cream sandwich.
In July and August, we find many special days for one kind of ice cream or another. The ice cream sandwich is so popular, and tastes so good, that it earns its own special day....today.
Ice cream sandwiches have been around since the early 1900s. Vanilla, chocolate and a combination of the two, are the most popular. You can make homemade sandwiches. Just put some ice cream between a couple wafers, and.. ...Voila! Don't have wafers? That's okay. Put some ice cream between two of your favorite cookies.

We hope that you have a great National Ice Cream Sandwich Day.
