Good 37ยบ raining morning. So far 14/100ths inch.
Yawn, up too early, but my fault, went to bed about 9pm.
All day yesterday it was cold. Bone chilling cold. Dave, the UPS driver, and I agree this is the longest spell of COLD we can remember. By 2:45 the sun was up there but couldn't break through....
And then by almost 5pm the sky changed again...
Came across this picture yesterday.......
OMG, my Maggie was such a baby girl....
Riding up there on the mule with her dad. So precious.
I spent the day doing "projects" and going through old photos. Fun.
No special meals, oatmeal and an orange for breakfast, soup for lunch and dinner. Today I will continue with my "projects" (to be revealed at a later date).
Historically this date.............
1915 – The United States House of Representatives rejects a proposal to give women the right to vote. (Adam Henrys!)
1991 – Gulf War: An act of the U.S. Congress authorizes the use of military force to drive Iraq out of Kuwait.
2006 – A stampede during the Stoning the Devil ritual on the last day at the Hajj in Mina, Saudi Arabia, kills at least 362 Muslim pilgrims. :o(
2010 – The 2010 Haiti earthquake occurs killing at least 230,000 and destroying the majority of the capital Port-au-Prince.
And births this date include.... (some real doozies!!)
1737 – John Hancock, American merchant, statesman, & Founding Father; 4th & 13th President of the Continental Congress; and 1st & 3rd Governor of Massachusetts (d. 1793)
Interesting read. What a life! Short.
1951 – Rush Limbaugh, American radio personality, author and political commentator
1968 – Heather Mills, British activist and model
