Good 49º clear sunny morning. 85º our high
yesterday.
Turkey and France are going through so much hell right now. So sad. Also,
as my pal Joan said, maybe because of all that terror and all those deaths the
BLM decided not to do their Friday Rage thing. Didn't hear anything about it.
Yesterday was sort of a loss. I felt as if I was coming down
with a cold. Stuffy, sneezy, icky. So took Zycam and didn't do much! Feeling
better today. And, no, I didn't get the stationary bike put together.
Soon!
Muscle Beach weightlifting prank. HILARIOUS! Shared by John
Anderson (LASD ret) Thanks John!
Today is my nephew Dr. Joe Mueller's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY
JOE!!!
1959 with his two sisters Nancy and Mary Ann...

1790 – The District of

streak that still stands as a MLB record.
1969 – Apollo

first manned

........oh how I remember
that day. I looked out at the moon and was overcome with the enormity of this
task.

F. Kennedy, Jr., piloting a Piper

the Atlantic
Ocean off the coast of Martha's
Vineyard. His wife Carolyn Bessette Kennedy and

Dinner was easy... I cooked some corn on the cob. First put vinegar in the
water, bring to boil, add a bunch of garlic salt, drop in the corn, remove from
heat, leave lid on, it will be ready when you eat.
As I have said before, the vinegar keeps the corn from getting mushy. Stays
crunchy. I keep a bottle (yes, and old vodka bottle) next to the stove with
vinegar in it. I like things handy when cooking. Don't like having to go dig in cupboards.
I baked some crab cakes......
Pomegranate mayo on the avocado, BF Southwestern Ranch on the crab
cakes....
PERFECT!!!
Then it was iced tea (not in the mood for wine, can you imagine!), chair,
and NCIS Los Angeles and a Blue Bloods.
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Saturday. Ciao.

Fresh Spinach Day
Fresh Spinach Day is our opportunity to put healthier food into our
diets.
Popeye the Sailor is right. Spinach is one of the healthiest foods you can
eat. It tastes good, and there are many recipes. Many people turn up their nose
to it, without even trying it.
The reason for eating fresh spinach, is the nutritional value is highest,
when it is fresh and uncooked.
Celebrate this day by introducing some fresh spinach to your meals today.
You could start by mixing in some spinach into your garden salad. Your family
may not even notice, but by doing so, you are making them healthier!
Gardeners know that spinach is easy to grow. And, it's hardy. You can plant
it as soon as the ground can be worked in the spring. Why, that's today in many
parts of the country! More on Growing
Spinach.
There is another day that we celebrate this healthy vegetable. It's National
Spinach Day, celebrated on March 26th. We think it is great that there are
two days to celebrate this wonderful vegetable, and to encourage people to eat
healthier.
Did You Know? V-8 Vegetable
Juice is not just tomato juice. It includes 8 vegetables. One of them is
Spinach.
