Good 59º, 84% humid morning. UGH. I know, I know, nothing like Texas or the South, or Palm Springs. Just need to whine! Or wait, maybe I just need to wine! Darn, too early!
My "babies" aren't babies any more! Alex (aka Jelly Bean) is now in 10th grade and Jack (aka Doodle Bug) in 7th grade. This is their first day of school picture taken Monday ...

Applegate Valley Ranch for a BBQ last evening.... Would have been PERFECT if Jeannie hadn't gotten sick and she and Bill couldn't make it. Also Candy is having a procedure today on her back so she and Bob had to cancel.... As it was PJ & Dave, Dee & Dale, Joe & Joann all made it and we did have a great dinner and a good time.
Missy was a great hostess and a very busy woman...
And the BBQ was fired up....
Entertainment was this pretty lady on the drums and her partner on guitar. Both sang. Very nice.
....and the food was Salmon or rosemary chicken and sirloin steak, salad was apple with Snickers! OMG GOOD! Maybe if I beg Missy she will give me the recipe! The beans were good with jalapeños and bell peppers and onions. Perfect corn on the cob and toast. The dessert was a HUGE chocolate cake.
I took the smoked peanuts I had made and everyone seemed to really enjoy them. Fun evening guys! Thank you good friends.
A young man came up to me and asked if I got stopped much because of my license plate (IM 417) and I asked him how he knew what it meant. He, Ray, was an Orange Co (CA) Deputy and now working for Jackson County. Nice man. Lucky guy, he has a pretty wife and a beautiful daughter! Hi Ray! Also, our friend Jon Ainsworth and his family was there. Good to see Jon. He's former Lt with Simi Valley PD and now working for Josephine Co Sheriff's office. Hi Jon and Jean! Congratulations on the new grandson!
OMG, this is fun... Air Swimmers....the last scene is GREAT!!!
