Good 38º (heat wave) morning!
Hi mom....whatcha doin'?? Mind if I lay on your desk? I promise not to
attack the mouse, only the pencil.
This came from Jon Austin (LASD ret and former partner of Jerry's) I've
seen this before but it's fun to do.... Click on the link and see if you can put
this baby together..... if you can do it,you probably don't have Alzheimers~!
Speaking of LASD, today's special birthday boy is none other than the
infamous, and my friend, Rick Castro. HAPPY BIRTHDAY RICKY!!! (with his bride
Lynda)
Historically this date....

Pluto is telegraphed to the Harvard College
Observatory.

the presidential
palace in Havana in a failed attempt on the
life of President Fulgencio
Batista.
1991 – The United
States Department of Justice announces that Exxon has agreed to pay $1 billion
for the clean-up of the Exxon Valdez oil
spill in Alaska.
1997 – The Phoenix lights are seen
over Phoenix, Arizona by
hundreds of people, and by millions on television.

National Football
League after 17 seasons.
And births this date include.....
1939 – Neil Sedaka, American singer and songwriter
1950 – William H. Macy, American actor
1956 – Dana Delany, American actress
Dinner was simple and GOOD.... Brian and 'crew' love the popcorn chicken. I have decided I do too. So, cooked some (actually just heat them).
I made a dipping sauce from mayonnaise, sesame oil, and lemon juice.
Salad was shredded lettuce, grated carrot, and grated beets. Dressing was Ken's Steak House Honey Mustard...
I got the beets at Safeway. They are in the produce section, airtight bag (refrigerate after opening), fresh, cooked, & peeled. Great!
Went shopping at Safeway again. Found the Goya coconut milk so I can make that rice dish. Progresso light soups on sale for $1.25. Fresh basil was there and will make some tomato pesto with that. Fun stuff. Savings at Safeway yesterday was $24!! Sure beats the local 'rip-off market' !
Then went to Bill and Jeannie's to see Chaka and take her long overdue birthday cookies! Had wine and chatted. Nice!
When I left yesterday I noticed Frank had fixed our bridge already!!! Awesome Frank!!! Thank you!!!! Here is how it looked damaged...
..... and now.....
Right now there is a constant parade and serenade in the yard!
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Hump Day. Ciao.

National Earmuff Day
(Ha ha...not exactly "ear muffs" !)
Ear Muff Day celebrates a warm invention...the ear muff! People in cold
climates can really appreciate this day. And, they are ever so thankful to the
person who created the ear muff. If you live in Florida, you might not even know
what an ear muff is.
Ear muffs keep your ears warm, and protect you from ear infections and
earaches resulting from icy cold wind and weather. Manufacturers have responded
to their popularity with a variety of designs and colors, making one to fit
almost anyone's personality.
It is really easy to celebrate Ear Muff Day.... just wear your ear muffs!
