Good 49º cloudy morning.
Sadly my friends Olga and Jim had to put their beloved Sammy to sleep on
Saturday. She was only 8 years old and such a great dog. RIP Sammy. You were
loved. ♥ O J and boys, my heart breaks for you. ♥
Yesterday just after midnight, the Bowlers, Trish and John left for a two
week cruise of the Panama Canal to celebrate their 50th Anniversary. They had a
car pick them up and head to the airport where they flew to Houston with a 2
hour lay-over, then onto Orlando Florida to board the ship by 4pm. Long day.
They will be at sea for two days before they port at Cartagena Columbia.
Tucker and Sami are back to school this week and "back to normal" resumes.
Kristen and Alex and Jack are on "Spring Break" this week. All this "PC" stuff
bugs me... EASTER VACATION~! Come on.
Mike Cipolla sent this to me... Fun! I got 67%. U?
The License Plate Game...
Yesterday while some numbskull was firing off his gun, one round after
another in rapid succession (WTF, that is target practice? Not in my book.
Kel-tec PMR30 pistol - YouTube makes you think about laying on the ground
'cause you don't know where the danged bullets are going!! )
.... I cleaned off some of the front porch furniture. Spray scrub wipe.
Spray scrub wipe. Sheesh. Gets dirty out there all winter, and of course I have
hummingbirds zooming around and "pooping in the air" !
Also birdhouses .... and those darlings never poop in the open or in the
grass or in flight off somewhere else, they poop on the railings or chairs or
the porch!
Historically this date...
1917 – World War I: President
Woodrow Wilson asks the
U.S.
Congress for a declaration of war on
Germany.
1956 – As the World
Turns and The Edge of Night
premiere on CBS-TV. The two soaps become the
first daytime dramas to debut in the 30-minute format.
..........I never could stand watching soaps. These people have more
problems than any screwed up family I know! Depressing to watch. I'd rather
watch 'happy' shows. World Turns lasted until 2010 and the Edge lasted until
1984!
1992 – In New York, Mafia boss John Gotti is convicted of murder and racketeering and is later
sentenced to life in prison.
2006 – Over 60 tornadoes break
out in the United States; hardest hit is in Tennessee with 29 people
killed.
And births this date include...
............kinky! (hair)
Dinner last night was some Honey Baked ham (warmed) and sauteéd mushrooms
and asparagus. YUMMMMMM-O!
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Tuesday. Ciao.
