Good 29º morning. Still that full moon causing havoc. Jeannie
was plagued by it, burning some of her famous Christmas cookies! I escaped
anything serious here.
Brian and family were at Disneyland for their Christmas gift.
Three days at the park and a flight back home Sunday. Well due to the freezing
fog here their flight was canceled then the next day delayed. They finally got
home yesterday afternoon after being hostages at LAX! Know they are happy to be
back.
If you haven't seen this amazing kitten, was on Jay Leno, you
have to watch... so funny! Every time I get this I watch it again....
...ok, so then next...
My Bruiser is such a funny guy... he jumps up on my desk, goes around
behind the computer screen and comes out the other side. Just being nosey...
You can see I was looking at the kitten on the computer!
I have to apologize ... yesterday I was going to put a special couple's
anniversary on the blog and totally forgot! Brain dead or full moon...
Yesterday was a special celebration, John Berokoff (Wilson S'63 football
player and handsome guy) and his bride Tanya celebrated their 46th wedding
anniversary. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY KIDS~!!! ♥♥ I hope you had a wonderful
celebration!
A year ago today...snow started about 11pm the night before...
Historically lots of stuff happened, and there were lots of births.
If you want to see them in particular, go to my blog, archives on the left,
click on 2012 and then December and 18.
Yesterday
I filled the crockpot with all the veggies I had in the fridge. Since I had that
8 days of no water I wasn't cooking much.... I put in carrots, fresh green beans, celery, leek,
broccoli, big mushrooms, mini potatoes, red-yellow-orange mini peppers.... Then
it was experiment time.. I added in chicken stock and orange juice! Then lots of
garlic and basil.....let it all cook for about 3 hours.
The stock with the oj was GOOD!!! I took out enough to cook the spinach
ravioli....
Then I put in a bunch of shredded cheese, the Lemon Butter simmer sauce...
voilá. Super good dinner!
Today I have to visit
UPS and get a package off to some special people in So Cal. Then to PetSmart for
treats for Dude... he likes their buffalo jerky. Safeway for stuff for me
and presents for friend's pets. I will stop at the humane society and drop off
the pig ear chews that Dude won't eat. Want to see Brian and maybe hook up with
Jeannie and Bill for a glass of wine.
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Hump Day. Ciao.

Bake Cookies Day
Bake Cookies Day
(See Jeannie... you baked on the wrong day!)
Bake Cookies Day comes at an opportune time. It arrives amidst the major
December holidays. It serves as a reminder to bake holiday cookies, if you
haven't done so already.
People, young and old, celebrate this day by baking their favorite cookies.
Make a party of it, and bake cookies in groups with family, friends, kids and
grandkids. Don't stop at baking just one kind of cookies. Plan to bake a number
of cookies. Try a new recipe, or two, or three, or....
If you bake more than you can eat, good for you! Wrap up gift trays filled
with cookies for friends and neighbors. Most cookies freeze well, too.
