Here's a good tip .. Problem: moldy berries.

With blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries now in season, the low prices make it tempting to buy a large container. But, if you don't gobble them down quickly they can just as quickly soften and begin to mold. To extend their shelf life rinse them in a vinegar bath... one part vinegar and three parts water. Then rinse again with water to remove the vinegar taste. Once dry (let drain in colander) place them back in their container and store in the fridge. The vinegar kills the bacteria which helps prevent mold growth.

Dinner was salad...
Chicken, cheese tortellini, mushrooms, peas, spinach, celery, broccoli, iceberg lettuce, carrot slices, and sugar snap peas...

Bought this new salad dressing at Safeway... Greek yogurt with feta cheese and dill.... (OMGOOOOOD!!!!)

Leftovers were bagged up and saved for today....

Going to be too hot to do much today and tomorrow. All I can say is GET SUMMER OVER WITH... come on Fall!!!

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Hump Day. Ciao.

Canada Day (for you Ike!)

Canada Day is a celebration of Canadian nationalism, heritage and pride. Canada became self-governing on July 1st, 1867, with the passage of the British North America Act (BNA Act) in the British Parliament. The holiday was originally known as "Dominion Day". It was changed to Canada Day by the Canadian Parliament on October 27, 1982.

Did you know? The U.S. and Canada share the largest un-defended border in the world

Today is also National Gingersnap Day (Mmmmmmmmmmm, gingersnaps!)
