Good (I can't believe this) 51º morning! Seems strange after
the 30º mornings we started having. Pressure dropping so rain might be
on the way.
Yesterday was the Law Enforcement/Fire luncheon at our Grants
Pass Elk's lodge.
One of the retired LAPD guys, Walter Smith, was
celebrating his 92nd birthday! Go Walt! Here he is with the lady who drives for
him, Carolyn Henderson. Carolyn was a dispatcher at our LASD radio room... I
think she also worked at San Dimas Station.
After lunch Dee and Jeannie showed up and along with Tammy we all had a
glass of wine...
LOL, not the most ideal background for a picture.... but, alas, it's the
lodge!
Tonight is football...........................

The following is what I put on my blog last year on this date..
The Day After
I woke in the middle
of the night and thought .... reversing Moochelle's statement, 'for the
first time in my life I am not proud of my
country'. I feel as if I have been punched in the gut and stabbed in the
back.
The arrogance and
lies, personal first family exorbitant spending and vacations, and socialism
will continue 4 more years....and probably beyond, because the voter base is now
so corrupt it's unintelligible.
The lefty 'let the
gov'ment run our lives, take our money, make those who work pay, and perpetuate
welfare' liberals are dancing and rejoicing. Just think, if Romney had won there
would be riots in the streets and anarchy because the 'gots my hand out and will
never work and Romney would take away my food stamps' adam henrys would be
propelled into getting jobs and forced to pay their own way! Republicans riot?
No. Democrats riot? Yes. Duh.
Class with these
two? Not!
I can't believe it
that so many are so stupid.
WTF????
And if you don't
like what I have to say about it, f**k off. Drop me from your email list,
unfriend me on FB, and stay out of my face with your liberal idiosyncrasies! I
am a dyed in the wool Republican believing welfare is only for those in
"NEED" and everyone should work and just because you have money
and earned it by working, making jobs, and paying your share you are not a 'bad
guy'!!! Business owners are heroes. Our military are heroes and should be
treated as such, with free medical and leaders who don't give out military
secrets and a budget to keep them and us safe. Get it
Washington!
God help
us!!!

Historically...
1874 – A cartoon by Thomas Nast in Harper's Weekly,
is considered the first important use of an elephant as a symbol for the United
States Republican Party.
...and
births...
A bunch
of people have birthdays...none of which flipped my skirt!
Today is
cleaning day... and tomorrow I get my dishwasher!! Whoot whoot whoot!!!
All I
know. Happy Thursday. Nuff said. Ciao.

Dunce
Day (Duh, figures.......)
Dunce Day celebrates the term "Dunce" and dunce caps. Today marks the
death (November 8, 1308) of medieval scholar Duns Scotus of Duns, Scotland.
Dunce Day is all about learning. So, lets get right to it and learn about dunce caps and the creator of dunce caps. Duns Scotus of Duns, Scotland was a medieval scholar. Perceptions of his views ranged from brilliant to less than complimentary. Duns Scotus believed that cone shaped hats increased learning potential. He believed knowledge would flow from the point of the cap, down and into the head of the wearer, making that person smarter. About all this accomplished over time, was the perception of a person wearing a dunce cap to be...... a dunce. There was a positive side to his use of dunce caps. It motivated the wearer to learn more, so he could be rid of the cap. Scholar critics of his work derived the term "dunce" from his name and place of birth.
