Good 44º morning.
It looks like it's raining on my mountain already. Of course we knew this would happen after I dropped $8 at the car wash on Wednesday afternoon. :o(
Here is a variation of the radishes with butter on bread I put on the 5-2 blog. Claire sent this site to me.
I guess I will have to try it with cream cheese next. Although, the butter is good! Thanks Claire!!! xo
Yesterday was sort of a "do stuff" and "get it done" day. All over the house! Sort out, put in the 'give away pile', put in the 'Goodwill' pile, put in the JCRW White Elephant Sale pile....
I went to town and got corn for the critters, a chicken for Maggie, cat food, and some other stuff..... Came home and Maggie and I took a ride in the golf cart to the mailbox, the trash can, and to PJ and Dave's. They just sold a travel trailer and are on the hunt for a 5th wheel. Came back home and there was a flock of lazuli bunting in the back yard. Don't see them too often as they migrate through this way and never stay too long.
I took down two of the birdseed feeder poles in the backyard. Since apparently the bear took the finch nyjer feeder this week I put one of the poles in the front yard. Then I "repaired" the one remaining nyjer feeder and put it on the pole. It attracted the little guys right away. Seems the light on all night out front discourages the bear from taking the feeders. Hope so!
This long feeder is the one I repaired. The gray squirrels chewed the top and the bottom off so the top was replaced with aluminum foil and for the bottom I glued and taped on upside down a little plastic cup, the kind you get extra salad dressing in for your take out... So far so good.
It was cool and windy all day. Did put a fire in the wood stove last night, as well as the night before. I will whine when I can't have a fire anymore. It's just so snuggy! Harley gets in my lap and then we snooze until it's bed time! LOL

And just so you know, my "concoction" I made with the Quinoa and rice and veggies, was my dinner last night too! :o)
All I know. Happy Mother's Day to my friends and family and especially my awesome daughter and my awesome daughter-in-law! Great moms!! Ciao.
