Good 44º sunny clear morning. Slept in again... until 7. Nice. Been needing that I guess.
Well, yesterday was our little guy's birthday. Tucker turned 7 but had a bug.... fever, cough. So, his birthday celebration dinner scheduled for Tap Rock was canceled and we are going to do it on Friday instead.
Yesterday I missed out on 'wine time' with Jeannie and Bill but she called me later and said she had fixed a pasta salad for dinner. What a good idea! I had a chicken breast marinating in pineapple juice and teriyaki sauce..... (Sorry, none of the prep pictures came out!) Grilled it on my George Foreman grill and then finished it up in the oven. The pineapple made it tender and sweet. Cooked radiatore pasta
, cooked al denté some carrots. Mixed pasta, carrots, cut tomatoes, bell pepper, black olives, sliced stuffed green olives, shredded cheese, celery, and the cut up chicken with a dressing of BF mayonnaise and wasabe teriyaki sauce and a lot of smoky sweet pepper seasoning and sesame oil.
Sadly the McCormick Smoky Sweet Pepper seasoning has been discontinued. Why? I don't know and it irks me!
Watched my favorite show last night, Hawaii 5 0. That Alex O'Loughlin is one of the best looking actors to come along in a while!
(This is me...Maxine and I!)
I hate housework!
You make the beds, do the dishes and
SIX MONTHS later you have to
do it all over again!
