Rain! ~ Aaron Marie ~ Buck ~ Spreads for Corn on the Cob

Good 50º morning. Overcast again, but should clear up and be nice. Although, it does look like it's raining on my mountain!

Well, son of a gun.... it is raining!!!!!

And here's the radar....

I doubt it will last long. Nice though.

"They" said it was going to be cooler yesterday. It was, 75º instead of 82º .

Aaron and Marie were due in today. Surprise, they arrived at 2:15 in the morning! Aaron knew where a key was so I woke up and he and Marie were already in. Of course Maggie being deaf didn't help, so no warning!!!  Porch party for them on Sunday and they will probably leave on Monday to Sacramento to a friend's and then to his other family ..... You know, the beeotch who always treated me badly even after she gave her son to Jerry and I to raise!! What a bimbo. Now she is lavishing attention on him and acting like she had something to do with he being the man he is today. Ha! She was such a pathetic mother.... to both Aaron (treated him badly and ignored him and lavished on his little brother) and Lincoln. Aaron turned out to be a fine young man and Lincoln is still screwed up! Ok ok ok... off the box.

They had driven all afternoon and night from Idaho. As they came through Rogue River the local poleece stopped him. "PC" was his license plate. He asked Aaron why his plate was expired. Aaron said it wasn't. The officer said "It says 07" and Aaron countered with, "That's the month". "Ok." Because of the hour and Aaron being in the proximity of two of RR's bars, he used that to see if he had been drinking. Pretty much DUI is the 'catch' in town at that hour.

So, they both took a shower and hopped into bed. I think I went to sleep about 3:15 and Maggie was startled by a squawking turkey at 6:15. So, we got up. Hope the kids sleep a while to freshen up.

Yesterday I vacuumed and dusted and steamed the floors. (How I HATE housework!) I tried to clean everything, but didn't quite make it.  Did some laundry. Watered. (Ha, for a while didn't think I'd ever have to water again! Didn't do the grass, so glad we're getting a little precipitation.

Looked out and here was this handsome buck on the back porch eating corn from the tub that I put it in for the gray squirrels....

He was running with a young doe. Took this through the window.
