Good 55º clear sunny morning.
Yesterday I was outside and I keep this watering can on the porch.. Well, frogs have made a home inside it so I don't fill it, just keep a minimal amount of water in it. I saw this baby frog sitting on top of the can...
He was tiny...about 1/2 the size of his parents.
A FB friend, Kimberly Mack, posted a picture she took early in the morning in the Santa Monica Mountains. Jerry and I used to ride our Harley up there and go to the biker bar, The Rock Store. It's still there, original owners since 1961. http://www.rock-store.com/
We saw Hulk Hogan up there one time...
Ugleeeeeeee!
I mowed yesterday. Wow, warm out there. 91º ! I lifted up Mr. Hippo on the lawn and under him was this little tiny baby snake....
I picked him up and put him in the bushes so I wouldn't run over him with the lawnmower. Cute little guy!
Then fixed two of the garden hoses, and watered. Then saw this "flutter-by" in the Catalpa tree.....
It was going flower to flower. Just lovely.
Dinner was one of my concoctions...
Pasta with Veggies and Chicken....
1 pkg pasta
2 cans Kirkland chicken
2 zucchini
2 yellow squash
1 bunch asparagus
1 leek
2 tomatoes
1 can black olives
2 cans sliced mushrooms
onion chopped and sliced garlic and pinch of red pepper flakes
1 jar Tostitos Spinach Dip
Ok, cook the pasta. While that is cooking drizzle olive oil in a large pan and heat. Add veggies and mix well. Add olives, chicken, and mushrooms after the vegetables have 'stir fried' for about 10 minutes. When all cooked al denté and hot, add the spinach dip and mix well.
I served this yummy mess with the last of Bill's pork ribs....
Discovered this is good hot or cold. Spinach Dip, what a great idea!!!
I had to laugh, my pal Patty made some chicken soup the other night for dinner and she didn't have her "normal" additions on hand so she said she made "Sue soup"!! A little of this and that. She gave some home with me to try, an it was GREAT!!!!! She said even Cliff liked it really well. Yeah.... converts!
Took the trash out and later had a wine with PJ. Dave was off in the hills doing dredging for gold with a couple of guys. One being Tom, the other I have met but forgot his name. Anyway, don't see how they can stand all that work in this heat. I guess it's ok if you find gold! On the way back this doe was in the tractor shed...
