With my computer fritz I didn't get to post HAPPY ANNIVERSARY on the 8th for Lydia and Gerry Plunk. Happy 42nd kids.

Today is a very special birthday.. United States Marine Corps

Today is the 242nd birthday of the United Stated Marine Corps. Happy Birthday to all Marines, that includes my Jerry (RIP Jar Head!), my son Brian, my Italian son Alex, and our MCL.

The "birth" of the Marines occurred in 1775 in Tun Tavern in Philadelphia ....

My Marines:
my Jerry ....

my Brian ....

my Alex .... my Italian son!

Friends Sid Heal and Rod Johnson (both LASD ret)

And to my friends... Jon Austin (ret LASD), Terry Bonyea (ret LASD), Sally Harwell (ret LASD), Mel Nix, Lynn Crowell, and Rick & Wendy Harp's (Co Fire Capt on Catalina) sons.... And to all the Rogue Valley Marine Corps League... Semper Fi to all of you and HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
Semper Fi!

"The motto of the Marine Corps is Semper Fidelis, Latin
for "always faithful". Until 1871 it was "First to Fight",
a motto that still applies. Through the years, Marines have
shortened it to Semper Fi, and "Semper Fi, Mac" is the universal Marine Greeting."
