Good 52º clear sunny morning. Hit 93º yesterday. Warmer predicted for
today.
Today is Throw Back Thursday...
1981 Jerry and I dancing at Kristen's wedding...
And my Jerry working Watch Deputy at Temple Sheriff's Station,
smokin' his "ceee-gar" !
He would always take the paper band off the cigar and ask me, "Do you like
music?" Of course I said, "yes" and then he'd take the band and put it on my
finger saying, "Good, here's a whole band!"
I looked out back yesterday and the momma turkey and babies were out
there...
A few minutes later the turkeys were gone but Mr. Big Ears was out
there...
This shared by pal, Gator, former USN Intelligence... He
should know! LOL:
Growers in South Australia have developed a new hybrid grape
that acts as an anti-diuretic!
A single glass at night could mean a peaceful, uninterrupted
night's sleep.
New Wine for Seniors, I kid yo not....
Clare Valley vintners in South Australia, which
primarily produce Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Grigio wines, have
developed this new grape. It is expected to reduce the
number of trips older people have to make to the bathroom during the night. The
new wine will be marketed as
PINO MORE
I heard it through the grapevine!

This shared by Gracie Elliott (LASD ret) .. a GREAT tip for self-defense!
Mike came over yesterday afternoon. I had a bunch of metal stuff that
needed to go to the recycle place. He filled the bed of his pick up with it. He
also took my stair stepper, looks similar to this one..
and gave it to his daughter-in-law. I used it for awhile, but it made my
back hurt. The stationary bike is much better for me!
This olive spread came from Safeway. It's made in Croatia..
You can buy it on line ... amazon has it and
also:
At Safeway and it was $4.99 a jar.
I LOVE green olives and this is the BEST and I could just eat it by the
spoonful out of the jar!!!!
Anyway, I was going to make a meatball sandwich and slather this on the
bun, but I was not hungry. Maybe today.
Chair, wine, TV.
All I know. Nuff said. Happy TBT. Ciao.

August 4th
US Coast Guard Day
U.S. Coast Guard Day honors
the military branch that protects our waters and shorelines. The U.S. Defense
Department suggests that this day is largely an internal celebration for all
Coast Guard personnel and their families, past and present. But, we'd like to
encourage everyone to honor the brave members of this important branch of the
military.
Celebrate U.S. Coast Guard
Day by learning more about the
responsibilities and functions of the U.S. Coast Guard. They are now playing an
even more extensive role in Homeland Security to protect our country.
We salute Coast Guard personnel today and every day. We hope you do,
too.
