Good 27º burrrrrr it's cold morning. Supposed to stay sunny
and warm to the high 60ºs for the next few days. Yesterday was a beautiful St.
Patrick's Day... sunny and green!
Thanks Cathy for the head's up on this:
Yesterday morning I started my corned beef. Leeks, carrots,
garlic were the first ingredients in the crockpot. Next came the corned beef
round, topped with brown sugar, and the Guinness was poured around. Another can
with water was added, since there were so many items in the crockpot. Set it on
"high" for 10 hours. After about 3 hours, I added in whole mushrooms and turned
it to low. About 2 hours before being done I added in some cabbage wedges.
I served up my plate and toped the corned beef with Jack Daniel's
Horseradish Mustard...
OMGOOD!!!!!
