Hairy Pawter ~ My Puttanesca Pasta ~ Timinator ~ Pancakes

Good 42º morning.

Ike Saben sent this. Fascinating. Our world from beginning to end in 2 minutes! Wow. Thanks Ike!

And... from Gator in Florida, our career Navy friend ...
... see where you fit...

Our former neighbor, Laura (Vincent) has two Wheaten Terriers and last year for a contest she dressed them as Hairy Pawter and Hermione!
Too cute. She said they won first prize!

Dinner....
Whole wheat angel hair, cooked, drained, sauteéd in some olive oil.

Add 'Puttanesca' pasta sauce, black olives, mushrooms, and chopped clams. Heat through. Top with grated Parmesan cheese. AWESOME!

Now, Puttanesca sauce is Southern Italian. It literally means "whores style sauce". It contains tomatoes, olive oil, olives, chili pepper, capers, and garlic. This particular sauce is awesome as it has Greek Kalamata olives & Italian green olives. If you are interested in purchasing this sauce, email me. I will hook you up with the company who sells it... very reasonable. Now it comes in glass jars.

Or.... you can make your own. Get a good pasta sauce, something like Bertolli or Classico. Add a chopped fresh tomato, a spoonful (or 2) of capers, some green pitted olives, some Kalamata olives, minced fresh garlic, a pinch of chili pepper flakes, and some fresh ground pepper. Taaa daaaa......

September 26th
National Pancake Day

'They're selling like hotcakes!' Pancakes, also known as flapjacks or griddle cakes ...or Dutch Baby, are a popular breakfast item in North America. There are even whole restaurant chains with pancake in their name (you know who I'm talkin' 'bout). When a food has its own figure of speech, you know it's worthy of an official day of recognition!
