I am heart broken and sick about the 5 Dallas police officers killed by
snipers yesterday at a black lives matter protest. Thanks Ovamit for pushing the
race card button so often. And Beyonce, you are a POS! You do the same thing
constantly. POLICE LIVES MATTER! God Bless those officers and may they Rest In Peace. And may the snipers rot in hell!!!
Sigh..........
59º RAINING morning!!! Yes! So far ... rain started about 4am and is still raining. We have measured about 1/10".
Got a little cloudy yesterday...
The predictions were for cooler. We got to 83º by noon and 88º by the end
of the day.
The clouds from Brian's office in Grants Pass..
By early evening it was looking serious...
and then this morning....
The prediction was for rain today and Sunday. I am such a Doubting Thomas I
didn't believe it. At 4am I heard the rain and couldn't believe it!
YEAH, some good news for Grants Pass....
This one will be 19 miles as opposed to the one in Medford that is 25 miles
away. Not much difference, but better! I go into GP much more often than I go to
Medford!
This was a harrowing story... with a good ending!
This is needed in every urinal to keep the floor and walls clean!
He and my Brian both have birthdays in February. And he born in 1961 and my
Brian in 1971. Anyway, the cardiologists now also have an office in Grants Pass
(13 miles) as well as the one in Medford (28 miles). Ahhh... closer by 15
miles!!
It's always good to see Dr. Brian. Only once a year. He gave me an A+ on my
checkup. So......... I will see him again in a year!
After the doc appointment I stopped at Brian's office for some insurance
chat, then did a little shopping. Someone is having a birthday soon!!!
The turkeys were standing and laying around in the shade yesterday...
.... and Bruiser was napping on the porch under the glider...
Before I left for GP I had a bag of potato chips that was mostly gone so I
crushed them up and tossed them out in the back for the birds to eat. Bruiser
came out of the bushes and started munching on them! Nut cat!!

and Johnsonville Jalapeño & Cheese sausage
First I cooked the sausages in my George Foreman grill.
Then I made the cornbread mix with 2 boxes and poured it into a 9x9 pan.
Laid the sausages on top
and baked at 400º for about 30
minutes.
It was very tasty, but messy to remove from the pan. Had it with some
garlic sauce and blueberries.

All I know. Nuff said. Happy TGIF. Ciao.

National Blueberry Day
(that's why I bought the blueberries!)
Just about every other fruit has its day of recognition. Yet, somehow
Blueberries have not had a day designated in its honor... up until now.
We think it is bizarre, that Blueberries have just now received its fair
and just recognition with a special day. In addition to tasting great,
Blueberries are loaded with fiber and rich in antioxidants. Blueberries are one
of the healthiest fruits you can eat. The most notable health benefits of
blueberries include: helps lower cholesterol to promote heart health, reduces
the risk of cancer, and can even help to slow the aging process.
Celebrate this very special day, by eating blueberries for breakfast,
lunch, dinner and snacks. Make plans to incorporate blueberries into your
regular menu planning. You can also celebrate National Blueberry day by planting
a couple of blueberry bushes in your yard. How to Grow Blueberry
Bushes
Did You Know? Most
blueberry bushes require at least two bushes of different varieties, to
pollinate and produce berries.
Happy National Blueberry
Day!
Yogurt
and strawberries and blueberries is very patriotic!!
The Origin of National Blueberry Day:
Holiday Insights has created just a handful of days. We created this day,
to give recognition to the healthiest fruits you can eat. The date was selected,
as this is when blueberries are ripening in the field. This special day was
created in 2016..... it's new!
Neither congress, nor the President of the United States has proclaimed a
national day for blueberries. Let's change that. Write your local congressman
and the President of the U.S., to voice your support for National Blueberry
Day.
