Good 42º clear
full moon morning.....
Woke up too early. Dark. Had hot tea. Then noticed something out of the
corner of my eye..... an elk! In my front yard. A cow all alone. DANG if I
didn't leave my big camera in the car! Sheeeesh! So took some pictures with my
little Kodak...
Enough of this, so went out and got the Canon from the car.
I posted two videos (short 30-40 seconds) on Youtube....
The Bruise went out with me and he was showing off his tree climbing
skills...
Yesterday I picked up Nancy (Ace Dave's bride!) and we went to Grants Pass
to Musashi for lunch....
When we got out of my car this guy was coming along with his bicycle and
stopped and asked "Who is the Marine?" (USMC sticker on back window of truck) I
said, "My husband and son." He then bragged about being in the Navy, "CSI at
Pendleton". Showed me his USN belt buckle. I told him my son's last name is
Pendleton and he was at Camp Pendleton too. This guy thought that was great, we
high-fived, and he went on his way.
Tim is the Sushi Chef at Musashi. Yeah, a Japanese chef at a Japanese
restaurant!
Our little waitress was Mijo (not sure of spelling) born in Japan. She is darling.
Nancy and I had the 'Sashimi Bento' ... fresh sashimi (tuna, salmon,
yellowtail), shrimp and vegetable tempura, pot stickers, and rice. YUMMMM! And
cold saké. We had a green salad prior, the the BEST Asian dressing! You could just drink the dressing!
Happy belated Birthday Nancy!
Great place. We want to go back. We were early, why nobody else is there. Lovely decor and tables for 4 or a crowd! A lady sat down next to us, Jennifer, and
we got to talking. She works at the Kitchen Store in town and we all hit it off.
Plan on a girl's day with Jennifer soon.
Historically this date...
