4-17 ~ Trip Day 4 ~ Steelhead & Veggies ~ Dentist ~ Garlic ~ TBT

Good 41ยบ  cloudy pressure dropping rain coming morning.

417 .... California penal code section for 'brandishing a firearm in a rude or threatening manner'....and doing so is a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment in a county jail for not less than 30 days. And if it occurs in a public place a fine of $1000 and/or jail is mandated. If this occurs on the grounds of a day care center for children under 18 years old then the jail time increases to no less than 3 months. If this occurs in the presence of a police officer jail in county for no less than 9 months not to exceed 1 year or in state prison for 16 months or 3 years. or radio code for 'person with a gun'.... 417A 'person with a knife' .... 417B 'barricaded suspect' .... 417BH 'barricaded suspect-hostage situation' ... and 417S 'shots fired'. Of course I put Jerry's license plate on my truck "IM 417".

He being the armorer/firearms instructor for LASD the last 15 years of his career, and always carrying anyway ... and at the post office one day an older man came up to me and asked what it meant. I told him basically the penal code section and he put his arm around me and said, "Is that what they got you for?" LOL!!!!!

Just don't get caught between two cross-hairs! Er.... hares....

Dinner was lightweight. I cooked some couscous blend (has dried peas in it), sauteed veggies in a bit of water and olive oil, added in the couscous. Fried a steelhead (from Washington state!) slab in olive oil, sprinkled on Mrs. Dash, topped the veggies with some steelhead, and sprinkled on Parmesan cheese... Taaa daaaa....

Trip to the dentist yesterday for my 6 month cleaning/check up. Always fun to chat with Liz (Lizzardbreath!!!) my hygienist. Dentist was pleased with my teeth. No cavities. He said I had nicely formed teeth, no dentures, and they looked great. Well, in part, lots of people never did go to the dentist regularly as children. I did, starting at 5 years old and have always taken care of those babies. Didn't want to have dentures like Daddy! While I was there I read an article in a fitness magazine about eating a clove of garlic a day to prevent all sorts of body mis-functions and cancer etc. Then it said to get rid of the garlic breath drink a class of water or eat and apple. I made a stab at trying that, only eating about 1/4 of a clove. OMG! It's HOT! ICK! Didn't have an apple or milk so drank wine. My breath felt horrible for a long time! I think garlic supplements would be the best way.....

All I know. Happy TBT. Haircut day. Nuff said. Ciao.

National Cheeseball Day

Why should it be an insult to call someone 'a cheeseball' when these softened and rolled cheese snack-appetizers are so darn good, and usually only make their appearance at festive occasions like parties or holiday gatherings?

(Some yummmmmy cheeseball recipes here:)
