Yesterday it was clear ....
and we sweltered at 77º!!! LOL. Nice day. Perfect. Doors open, no heater on!

I found a Gunsmoke series being played on a local channel here on my DirecTV. OH MY GOODNESS, what memories that brings back....
Dennis Weaver and James Arness:

I certainly enjoyed watching it and have the rest of the shows ready to record.

So, of course Bruiser was sleeping on my lap the whole time...

He has become sooooo much more clingy lately. In bed he reaches over and touches my face with his paw, sometimes he licks my nose, and sometimes grabs my arm with both paws (and claws) and pulls it towards him!

It's Autumn! How about a simple yummy Autumn Chicken Salad....

3 cups chopped cooked rotisserie chicken (from your local market...so easy!)
1 cup chopped seedless red grapes
3 stalks celery, chopped
1 med Red Delicious apple, chopped
½ cup pecan halves, toasted
½ cup mayonnaise
¼ cup honey mustard
salt and pepper to taste
lettuce leaves

In a large bowl stir together all ingredients except lettuce leaves.
Chill until ready to serve and serve on a bed of lettuce leaves.

Later for dinner I heated some Alfredo Sauce... chopped up a couple tomatoes and added in along with some drained canned peas...

Then I put some gnocchi in a pot of boiling water and cooked until they floated and drained them. Added them to the sauce mixture.

Next was to cook some mini crab cakes (Omaha Steaks http://www.omahasteaks.com/product/Mini-Crab-Cakes ) drizzled with olive oil in the Air Fryer for 7 minutes.

OINK OINK!   Really good!!!!

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Sunday. Ciao.

October 15, 2017 is

National Grouch Day

Today is National Grouch Day! This is a special day for all the grouchy people out there to celebrate. Grouches are typically miserable, grumpy, and irritable. They thrive off of others’ misfortunes, and only then are they “happy”.
National Grouch Day allows all grouches out there to celebrate their way of life. Not a grouch? This day also gives all the normally chipper people a day to complain for once! For those everyday grouches, here are a few ways to live a happier life: do a fun or silly activity, allow yourself only five minutes of negative time, do something to benefit others, or enjoy some healthy foods.
Celebrate National Grouch Day by being pessimistic, cranky, and irritable, and then be nice tomorrow! You can also celebrate by watching an episode of Sesame Street in honor of Oscar the Grouch, or by sending one of ourfree Sesame Street online invitations for an upcoming party.
